Ahmad Alhalabi PASO

Ahmad Alhalabi tells us how to start a business in Dubai quickly and easily using PASO.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Ahmad Alhalabi: We’re doing well, thank you. We try to adapt to the circumstances by keeping social-distancing and avoiding gatherings, and now we spend more time together. We are fortunate to be safe, and hopefully, soon, everything will be back to normal.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded PASO?

Ahmad Alhalabi: I have over 10 years of experience in the business consulting field, especially company formation and business restructuring. I worked with various consulting firms in the UAE, helping clients start their businesses.

Dubai is full of opportunities, with the local government support thousands of companies open every month, hoping to succeed in a very competitive market. I founded Paso Corporate Services a few years ago. The goal was to simplify the company formation process and save our clients time and effort, which we are proudly achieving every day.

How does PASO innovate?

Ahmad Alhalabi: The pandemic has changed the world, the social-distancing and traveling restrictions demanded more flexible solutions, we were able to shift mostly into online services by reducing the paperwork and personal presence, now we are able to complete all the formation procedures in less than one hour, this is great for founders and investors who would like to start their business quickly, they can focus more on running their businesses, and less on the formation procedures.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?

Ahmad Alhalabi: In the beginning, our clients faced a lot of challenges to keep their businesses running, which in turn affected our business. We adapted quickly by creating more flexible solutions and working remotely. Unfortunately, some of our clients had to shut down their companies, and others decided to shift their sales online. Now the business is coming back to normal.

Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?

Ahmad Alhalabi: The early transition to work remotely helped us return to business as usual. We didn’t have to make difficult choices. We adjusted our operations and moved into a digital environment; this environment has become the new normal of doing business. We learned to create and use systems that better prepare our company for future disruptions.

How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?

Ahmad Alhalabi: It’s important to interact and maintain positive client relationships. We use many online tools such as Zoom for video conferencing and meetings; these tools allowed us to keep good communications and understand our business better.

Your final thoughts?

Ahmad Alhalabi: Thank you for this opportunity. We will always work hard to improve our services and keep our clients satisfied. During these challenging times, it’s important to stand together and be prepared for all scenarios. Be positive. Be safe.
