Why are we Killing Some Economies if the Solution is so Easy?

Alberto Adarve of Defensya tells us about research and development.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Alberto Adarve: We are very upset and worried about the loss of freedom situation.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Defensya.
Alberto Adarve: Working hard and investing all my job earnings in starting the company with my effort and that money.
How does Defensya innovate?
Alberto Adarve: We create new ideas and products for aviation and other markets.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Alberto Adarve: Face-to-face meetings are very important in business. Limitations due to the COVID reduces a lot of that capability.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Alberto Adarve: When authorities don’t behave as they should, no lesson can be learned. Nobody can really be ready for the unexpected.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
Alberto Adarve: Meeting, Whereby, Webex, Skype, … all of them more or less the same.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Alberto Adarve: Too many to be listed and no way to stay in the game if this situation doesn’t stop.
Your final thoughts?
Alberto Adarve: I don’t understand this situation. If people wear an appropriate mask, there is no need to limit anybody to go anywhere. When I refer to an appropriate mask, I’m talking about a safe and comfortable one. It is possible and not expensive. So why this situation? Politicians incompetence? Again, I don’t understand.
