INNOVATORS VS COVID 19
Alberto Cabrera Tells Us How Atecnis is Surviving in Difficult Times

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Alberto Cabrera: Fortunately, both my family and I are fine. We have not suffered the direct effects of this terrible virus. We can give thanks for this. I hope that the world situation improves in the coming months.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Atecnis.
Alberto Cabrera: I am a person who since childhood has liked the world of the Internet. I studied at the European University of Madrid an MBA related to the Management of Sports Teams, at the official school of Real Madrid. I had no luck finding work related to it and decided to create an online business to offer Digital Marketing services. I acquired specific knowledge about it, with corresponding certificates from Google and various prominent platforms. I consider that Online Marketing is one of the best options to promote any business. It has great segmentation power and is cheaper than conventional methods.
How does Atecnis innovate?
Alberto Cabrera: I believe that my company innovates in the way services are provided. We offer the possibility of working at a low cost, but without losing the quality and added value. Well-defined prices with structured customer service and processes. A defined organization with systems that allow us to work on different projects.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Alberto Cabrera: The pandemic is greatly affecting the Marketing sector. Companies have less money, and Marketing is the first thing they eliminate from their budgets. I think it is a mistake; without marketing, there is no promotion or an increase in customers. We have offered different personalized services to try to solve these times of pandemic. In the same way, we have pivoted between them to adapt to the specific needs of the moment.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Alberto Cabrera: Yes, absolutely. I have had to make difficult decisions; the most painful has been to fire several collaborators. They are not at fault, and their work was fantastic, but the situation was not viable. I am sure they will work with me again very soon. The lessons I have learned are that you must adapt to the needs of the market at any time. You should know that anything unforeseen can happen and nothing is certain.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety?
Alberto Cabrera: As the business has grown, I have noticed a lot more anxiety and stress. There is more work, and that translates into constant worries. In order to solve this, I usually read books related to personal development, productivity, etc… In this way, you improve as a person, and you know how to face various problems that may occur more calmly.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Alberto Cabrera: Our competitors are digital marketing agencies. This sector has many of them. Our way of standing out is by providing enough value so that the client continues with us, in addition to a high degree of professionalism at the points of contact with the client. We have Inbound Marketing as the cornerstone of our project.
Your final thoughts?
Alberto Cabrera: We live in a difficult time, but I trust that everything will be solved. Our sector will continue to move forward as companies recover economically, but always providing great value to the customer. The results and professionalism will make your brand known and spread among people.
