Tell us about you, your career, how you founded HR-ON.

Ali E. Cevik: HR-ON is a Danish software company founded in 2012, offering end-to-end cloud-based solutions for recruitment and staff management. I am the CEO and founder as well as an entrepreneur with an exceptional story. Having started out as a shepherd, I am now an academic and owner of a successful global business and have won awards for my inspirational leadership.

HR-ON currently has around 40 employees based in the head office in Odense, in the centre of Denmark. HR-ON is trusted by brands from around the world for their HR needs. From small to large, public to private, non-profit to for-profit, HR-ON solutions are flexible and adaptable to the unique and diverse needs of any organization.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances and human resources?

Ali E. Cevik: The Corona pandemic over the last year has undoubtedly brought new challenges to HR-ON. Like many companies, we have had to adapt to remote working and be creative with new initiatives for both staff management and sales and lead generation. Being a forward-thinking tech company, in terms of practicalities, working from home was not a big challenge for us. We already had the necessary technology in place (both software and hardware) because we have always had a flexible policy regarding working from home. Of course, we prefer to meet in person in the office when possible. We are certainly looking forward to being able to host and attend conferences, seminars and social events again. We have been producing many webinars during the corona times, which has proved to be popular among our customers and followers.

Regarding the current situation, fortunately, in Denmark, it is now possible for all citizens to take a corona test free of charge. Therefore, we are now following government guidelines, and our employees are getting tested twice a week. This allows us to work from the office and meet in small numbers.
