Anatoly Vorontsov Sportrecs

Anatoly Vorontsov, CEO of Sportrecs tells us about offering an unmatched level of service for sports organizations and media.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Anatoly Vorontsov: We are doing pretty well, thanks. Surprisingly, our well-being only improved during the pandemic. We’ve managed to organize remote work, spend a lot of time together and learn how to get the most out of the situation we found ourselves in.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Sportrecs.

Anatoly Vorontsov: Before starting Sportrecs, I founded and developed Eagle Platform (b2b SaaS video service), which was later sold to Rambler Group. I have also created Data Screen – a SaaS for movie, e-book, and music right holders that provides normalized and verified content sales & consumption data.

How does Sportrecs innovate?

Anatoly Vorontsov: We offer an unmatched level of service for sports organizations and media – all of the tools are available on one convenient platform that enables improved distribution, monetization, and reaching new audiences for our partners.

We offer hosting videos, live broadcasts, re-streaming, PPV and Subscription sales, ADs monetization, in-depth analytics, our own app for mobile live streaming, and a player with built-in widgets. All for free and easy to use.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?

Anatoly Vorontsov: Once again, it has served us well – due to the cancellation of the most sports events or no visitors policy, we have become the destination for thousands and thousands of fans who generated millions of views for our partners, thus helping us successfully raise the seed funding round.

Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?

Anatoly Vorontsov: That is probably yet to come – our team is used to remote work and has established quite a long time ago, long enough to make it through the pandemic together and stronger than ever.

How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?

Anatoly Vorontsov: We have chosen to provide personal support to each partner via preferred channels – from the very moment of creating an account to holding broadcasts for thousands of viewers.

We also use automated bots to gather and process feedback from our users.

Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?

Anatoly Vorontsov: No, we only rely on ourselves,

Your final thoughts?

Anatoly Vorontsov: We are just getting started. This year is the year when Sportrecs is going to become the real powerhouse in the industry – the game is about to change.
