Artur Makowka, founder and CEO of MintMe.com tells us about its full crypto exchange, token creation, and crowdfunding platform.

How are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Artur Makowka: COVID-19 has surely changed the world’s view on life this past year, but can you imagine how it all looks like from a child’s perspective? I have a 2 and half-year-old girl, and even though we do our best to keep things as normal as possible for her, kids may not understand the complexity or if all. We just hope things will continue to improve and we can enjoy better years together, but meanwhile, the thought my wife and I have is that we want to help our daughter grow in self-confidence as well.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded MintMe.com.

Artur Makowka: I’m a Unix engineer with working experience in different countries and corporations around the world. I also run a successful hosting business, with over 1 million users all over the world. MintMe project started in 2017 with the creation of MintMe Coin, the blockchain, and our own cryptocurrency called MINTME, which is the underlying technology that gives life to mintme.com, the full crypto exchange, token creation, and crowdfunding platform.

How does MintMe.com innovate?

Artur Makowka: If you wonder why we say that MintMe is special and can help people grow, well, the reason why mintme.com is innovative and a completely new approach to the crypto and crowdfunding world is because both: token creators and their supporters have the possibility to earn money through token trading, unlike other crowdfunding platforms in which the only one side gets it all. MintMe was created, and it’s in constant development to provide people with a platform in which they can share airdrops, exclusive material with their followers and communicate directly with their supporters with security and transparency at the same time that they crowdfund for their projects, exchange crypto, and, of course, trade with their tokens.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Artur Makowka: This vision of growth is also present in our working environment. Since we work as a remote company with a small team positioned in different parts of the world, we have handled our business without further complications, which has also helped keep our employees safe at home.

People who believe in this project and support the company’s aims.

Even though the general economy has been full of difficulties, we have also seen the crypto market boost a lot, which has also been good for our project. Because of COVID-19, the crypto industry took a turn for good, and we have managed to see the silver lining through this rainy season; many people are starting to understand even more now the importance of Blockchain technology and the use of crypto. Platforms like MintMe were created to give the power back to people, to build their own future and growth in a financial and personal way, regaining self-confidence in what they do and in what they create, receiving support, and allowing others to earn through their success.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Artur Makowka: We all have to make difficult choices when creating our own business for different reasons. Sometimes because it’s hard to manage a team, sometimes because the economic situation isn’t the best, or sometimes just because the spirits are low. But the best lesson I have learned is perseverance; instead of thinking that everything will always be ok, it’s better to know that things will be bad sometimes, and we cannot just give up.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Artur Makowka: Some powerful tools we use for remote management and communication within our company are Redmine and RocketChat. When people have different time zones and work on their computers, it’s extremely important to keep things organized and communicate constantly and effectively.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Artur Makowka: Because our project is marketed as both a blockchain/crypto exchange and crowdfunding solution, our competitors converge from both sides. But because we are confident in the innovative service we are providing, we are sure to remain significant. We are also in constant development, and the possibilities to implement our service are vast; we hope to make mintme.com even more user-friendly and welcome everyone, those who know crypto and those who still haven’t started and need a place to help them learn and join the vision.

Your final thoughts?

Artur Makowka: This is probably one of the little times in which the whole world can say that they have been equally affected by something. Whether you live in a powerful country or in a country going through a crisis, we can understand each other at this point and are reminded of a very important value: supporting and helping one another. Hopefully, token creation at MintMe can help settle this value in all of those who participate and even those who don’t.
