Arun Yadav: Hello, I am good, thanks for asking. My family and I are going well.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded SetMyWed.
Arun Yadav: I am basically from a small town in Haryana, and I did BSC from the University of Delhi. I always wanted to do something of my own, and I decided to work as a wedding planning portal. After many trials in different businesses, I found a huge scope in the Wedding industry and found setmywed.com after complete research in the same field.
How does SetMyWed innovate?
Arun Yadav: SetMyWed basically helps medium & upper medium class families in their wedding planning and is completely free. We don’t charge any single penny from customers. SetMyWed service team always recommend the best vendors according to clients’ budget & requirement.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping
Arun Yadav: Definitely, this pandemic has affected my business or business also fell down then I decided to customize the policies and decided to minimize the amount of packages as per the condition.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Arun Yadav: I had to take some strict action like minimizing the packages and had to make my whole human resource work from home, which became so difficult to manage financial problems were out there, but I learned one major thing from the pandemic that was coordination and togetherness of employs my team faced all the problems and issued alongside me in that situation.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
Arun Yadav: To navigate the crisis, which just focuses on consistency in services and teamwork and, from time to time, remains updated with different software like HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Arun Yadav: Wedmegood, WeddingWire, and Shaadi Saga are our main competitors, and we are planning to make a separate category by giving quality leads to our vendors keeping their budget location and other conditions in mind.
