INNOVATORS VS COVID 19
LambdaTest Launched an Amazing New Developer Oriented Browser that Provides Users with a Website Responsiveness test over a Variety of Mobile Views, says Asad Khan

First of all, how are you and your Family doing in these COVID-19 Times?
Asad Khan : Thanks for asking Kossi, my family and I are doing good during this pandemic. We are taking all required care to keep us safe that includes my LambdaTest family as well. LambdaTest team has been working from home since March 2020 and we still do not plan to move back until the number of cases decline in India.
Tell us about you, your Career, how you Founded or Joined LambdaTest
Asad Khan : I started working as a Software Engineer with a reputed company in India and in Sept 2005 and continued working till mid of October 2009. I worked in a couple of companies to get hands-on knowledge on how a business runs. In my experience in working with big enterprise companies, I got to understand that the best challenges in the domain I was interested in can only be found by building something of my own.
360 Logica was my first venture and during that stint I observed that there was no integrated platform for testers to carry all kinds of tests at one suit. Something which you would agree like the Adobe suit for designers, that is what stuck in my mind and I decided to put my next efforts in building such a platform. So in 2017, we founded LambdaTest with an aim to build an integrated platform for testers from where they can manage all types of tests at one place.
As a starting point, we tackle one of the most prominent issues testers and developers face, the issue of testing infrastructure management and scalability. We built and deployed an online cloud infrastructure that can be used to perform manual and automated cross browser testing online.
How does LambdaTest Innovate?
Asad Khan : Innovation is something that has given LambdaTest the kind of success we are seeing in just three years. We are a customer oriented company and we take customer feedback very seriously. In fact most of our product has been shaped by our customers.
We regularly interact with them to understand what next big feature we should come up with, what are the features that we can improve and make better. Just recently we have launched an amazing new developer oriented browser by the name of LT Browser that provides users with a development workspace to test their website’s responsiveness over a variety of mobile views. Developed with an aim to reduce the time and efforts a tester has to test to ensure mobile view compatibility of the website, the application was built to streamline and simplify the daily testing tasks of web testers & developers.
We have set roadmap for a couple of years to come in which we will be coming up with new and advanced features to help the testing community.
How the Coronavirus Pandemic affects your Business and how are you Coping?
Asad Khan : Corona Virus has affected all of us. Our lives are not the same as they used to be and same is the case with our business. Thankfully our product helps testing team to continue testing their website from home and that is the reason why we have not been impacted a lot.
Yes, there are some big enterprise deals that are now taking some time to close, other than that we are seeing a good response. All our teams are also giving their 100% despite working from home. LambdaTest also offers a 24×7 technical support and that has also helped us in getting new clients onboard.
Did you have to make Difficult Choices and what are the Lessons Learned?
Asad Khan : All of us have difficult choices to make and LambdaTest has not been different. Their area number of choices that we made to roll out the product in time. There were times where we had to make hard decisions like limiting the number of features in the first release for better stability. Once had to change the whole architecture of the product because we were not getting the performance that we expected, and we knew that we wouldn’t be able to compete if we couldn’t provide a performance that was better than the similar solutions present today.
How do you deal with Stress and Anxiety, how do you Project yourself and LambdaTest in the Future?
Asad Khan : Stress is a part and parcel of being a founder, the best way that I have found to deal with stress is to take some time off spend quality time with my family and think ways to improve myself.
LambdaTest is one of the most trusted cross browser testing company out there and people are recognizing us as their testing partner. We have 200,000+ users on our platform and the number is increasing by many folds.
You will soon hear about new company announcements like feature update, funding, hiring etc. in the near future. We are going to be the next unicorn in the testing space.
Who are your Competitors? And how do you Plan to Stay in the Game?
Asad Khan : We always believe in launching new features faster and in an efficient manner. Our competitors are unicorns and the have the benefit of being in market for long however, we have adopted an agile approach with our product launch roadmap and that is why we see a lot of customers from our competitors coming to us.
Your Final Thoughts
Asad Khan : I wish all of us stay safe, indoors and take all preventive measures to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and life will be normal soon. Also keep a close eye on LambdaTest, we might be your next testing partner.
