We talked to Ashish Mishra of Spot News 18 about The Voice of Growing Nation and he had the following to say:-

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times? 

Ashish Mishra: In this pandemic, I, my entire family, and my team members are all fine. We are all taking proper precautions and measurements in this pandemic. I hope that this pandemic will be slow down by 2021; till then, we all have to take proper precautions against this virus.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Spot News 18.

Ashish Mishra: I am the CEO of Spot News 18, studied Computer Science in Mumbai, India. In June 2019, I started planning to launch a News Website whose motive was to provide accurate news to the readers and raise their problems and issues to a global and national level.

After planning and thinking on it, In July 2019, I founded Spot News 18. At that time, we had 2-4 people who were working with us. That’s how we founded Spot News 18.

How does Spot News 18 innovate? 

Ashish Mishra: As the founder of this company, my team and I have done lots of research and tried to understand the thoughts of the audience about the Media Company. We have read all the responses that we have received from the audience. After analyzing all these responses, we come to know what the people actually want from us. And that’ how it became the Voice of Growing Nation.

As a Media company, we have to monitor the trends going on Social Media and provide accurate news about these trends. So to gather more news and accurate information, we started expanding our business through social media.

We are continuously expanding and interacting with our audience through social media. I hope that we will reach more and more number of news readers through our news.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Ashish Mishra: Of course, the pandemic has affected our business, but we were prepared for it. So this pandemic has not affected our business as much as other businesses. 

From the start of the company till now, we are working online and gathering the news through social media and different platforms and providing accurate and real news to our readers. This pandemic has not affected our business model till now. We have learned something from this pandemic that if we are disturbing nature continuously, then this kind of pandemic will be seen more in the future.

So it’s better to protect our environment and nature and doing things in a balanced way. Like a Media Company, we are using limited resources that are actually needed. I appeal to all of you to take part in protecting the environment and to use limited resources.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Ashish Mishra: While running a Company, one needs to make a strong and difficult choice to make their company grow and expand its reach to the audience. As a founder of Spot News 18, I often have to make a strong and difficult choice; during this pandemic, we have been working hard to provide accurate news about this pandemic and make more people aware of the pandemic and take proper precautions and proper diet.

I like to make strong and difficult choices that are needed to improve our quality and trust in our audience.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety, how do you project yourself and Spot News 18 in the future?

Ashish Mishra: Whenever I am in stress or anxious, I watch shows and movies. I also prefer to watch some comedy videos on the internet to be happy. I also watch some motivation videos to overcome stress and anxiety. I do regular yoga to be more focused on my goals and to improve my mental health.

We have positioned our-self as a leading news provider. Our only aim is to provide only accurate news to our readers and to update them about what’s going on there place.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Ashish Mishra: In News Company, we have many competitors, and most of them are very popular. We as a new company are doing well, and we are improving our quality continuously. My team members and I are working hard to gather news continuously.

What makes us different from my competitor is that we focus on quality, not on the quantity of news.

Your final thoughts?

Ashish Mishra: This is a great time to boost your brands and startups. Use this valuable time to build your brand. This time is very precious and crucial for all of us. At last, I would say take care of yourself, your family, and your team members.
