Ayoub Essabir LumyMe

We talked to Ayoub Essabir of LumyMe on how to offer easy booking of shootings in Paris to individuals, restaurants and businesses, in a selection of the most beautiful spots and this is what he had to say.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Ayoub Essabir: We are careful and hopeful the ongoing vaccination will stop the propagation in the coming months.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded LumyMe.

Ayoub Essabir: I started LumyMe around three years ago when we saw the exponential growth of Instagram. With the vision to provide OnDemand Digital Content, Photos, Videos, and now Virtual Reality. I’m passionate about transformational Business models and technologies. Before LumyMe, I spent more than ten years within the Tech Industry, developing and selling transformational platform technologies.

How does LumyMe innovate?

Ayoub Essabir: We developed a powerful Core Platform Engine that aligns Art, ethics, and technology. Thanks to our Dispatch algorithm, we can provide OnDemand Digital Content produced by our network of experienced artists.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Ayoub Essabir: The pandemic accelerates our business. Due to distinctions and lockdown, the demand for Digital content exploded. Our clients in different industries used our OnDemand photos, video, and Virtual Reality to keep connected with their clients and partners. For some of our clients, this was the unique way to continue the activity during the lockdown. We are very proud of the team as we helped our client adapt to this “New Normal.” Since the second Lockdown in France, our revenue growth has been 30% monthly on average.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Ayoub Essabir: Yes. The most difficult decision we had to make regarding the acceleration in the context of uncertainty. We observed an explosion of demand for Photos, Videos, and especially Virtual Reality during the second lockdown. That requires us to invest in operations in a context where we had limited visibility.

However, with the team, we decided to invest and hire more than ten new colleagues, which was the most relevant decision we had to make.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety?

Ayoub Essabir: By focusing on long term trends.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Ayoub Essabir: We have several competitors, the most famous one is Meero, who raised a considerable amount of funds. However, we are unique as our foundation is on a balance of Ethics, Art, and Technology. And these three pillars of our company are perfectly balanced.

Typically, we are the only platform to dispatch the value creation in tree equal par for clients, artists, and LumyMe.

Your final thoughts?

Ayoub Essabir: 2020 will remain in history as a pandemic year. However, I’m convinced that we will look back at 2020 as a year to adjust to influential trends that are transforming our communities. We are proud to help our community of clients and artists to change through technology.
