Baljeet Gujral of Enfield Riders tells us about adventure lifestyle experiences.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times? 

Baljeet Gujral: While the world has been battling COVID, these have been testing times for everyone. However, on the brighter side, this pandemic has given all of us an opportunity to spend time with our loved ones. I’m glad that I am amongst the fortunate ones to have been relishing this brighter side.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Enfield Riders.

Baljeet Gujral: I had been an Investment Banker for over a decade. I hung my boots in the corporate world and started with my first venture Enfield Riders, in 2012. 

How does Enfield Riders innovate? 

Baljeet Gujral: We have a pure supply-demand ideology to innovate. Our adventure tours and lifestyle experiences are created based on client recommendations and feedback. We are a client-oriented company, and innovation happens at the client’s core.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Baljeet Gujral: Travel and tourism businesses have struggled across the globe. We have been staying afloat with cash reserves of 2019 and surviving through the resumption of domestic tourism.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Baljeet Gujral: Absolutely. Cutting expenses has been a difficult choice amidst this pandemic. The lesson learned is when life gives you a lemon, add it to the tequila.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety?

Baljeet Gujral: Meditation and outdoor physical activities. 

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Baljeet Gujral: We face strong competition from local players in the unorganized space. We stay in the game by keeping up with customer service excellence.

Baljeet Gujral: Stay focused, stay determined – there would be highs and lows. Ride the highs and stay afloat during the lows.
