Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Livshows.
Bassam Mirghani: My background is in Product Design, UI/UX. I also have experience in Digital Marketing, Sales & Software Development. I consider myself a lifelong learner; I’m continually acquiring new knowledge and learning new skills. How I started Livshows stemmed from analyzing how music and digital experiences can affect people, I noticed a shift in how fans focus more on the visuals and the experience. Coming from a tech background, I saw other channels to help artists tell their stories and provide unique fan experiences. I saw an opportunity & started Livshows.
How does Livshows innovate?
Bassam Mirghani: Livshows empowers creatives, artists and brands through a unique line of products and services. Livshows first product is AR builder, a creation tool that makes it easy for creatives, artists, and brands to create and publish augmented reality experiences without needing an app download and without knowing how to code. As a platform with an integrated passion for design, tech and music, Livshows aims to build products for creatives, artists and brands to adapt to the new market shift; and create digital engaging content and visuals experiences for their fans.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Bassam Mirghani: We had to adapt to the new market shift; we noticed the demand for digital services and engaging content to help build an audience. This year, we launched two initiatives, “Creative Lab, For Artists” & “LIV-CON” The creative lab offers branding, promotional strategy, and digital services to help bring the artist’s musical vision to life. We also launched a virtual event called LIV-CON, which brought together twenty international artists from various countries worldwide within a digital space while launching an augmented reality experience.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Bassam Mirghani: No choices I would call difficult. This time taught us not to rush the process and to embrace the changes. Having that mindset helped us to plan a more effective product strategy launch for 2021.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety?
Bassam Mirghani: I have always been a calm person; I don’t get too low or too high; my emotions remain balanced, which helped me a lot during stressful situations. I always remind myself and the team to take a step back, look at the bigger picture and reflect, which helps when dealing with stress and anxiety.
