First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID19 times?

Boyan Peychev: We have been following the news around COVID-19 since the virus began in China. We have been preparing for the moment it will hit our country.

When the Bulgarian government announced the State of Emergency in the first half of March 2020, both my family and ClouDNS were ready to start working from home.

Tell us about you, your Career, how you Founded or Joined ClouDNS

Boyan Peychev: As a teenager, I became interested in programming and developed several online multiplayer games. One of them became very popular in Bulgaria in 2006-2007.

During my student years, I started my first job in the hosting business as Technical Support Operator in Hosting Ltd, the largest hosting company at this moment in the country.

About a year later, in 2010, I was promoted as a head developer in the company. During my tenure, I was interested in the Business to Business services, hosting business, and various niches in this sector.

In the same year, I began working on ClouDNS as a small startup in my free time. In 2015 ClouDNS became my fulltime job and was fully dedicated to the growth of the company.

Today, we’re a team of 15 professionals, and ClouDNS is one of the well-known Managed DNS providers, with globally presented Anycast DNS network, offering 24/7 live chat technical support, and ever ready to assist to our customers.

How the Coronavirus Pandemic affects your Business and how are you coping?

Boyan Peychev: COVID-19 affected and changed almost every business in the world. It affected ClouDNS as well.

Since March 8, 2020, our offices have remained closed, as we all work from home. During the lockdown and restrictions put in every country, our services were part of the critical infrastructure for all of our customers.

Queries being processed by our network have almost doubled for the past few months. As a result, we were forced to upgrade all our infrastructure to prepare them for the usage peaks and to meet our customers’ expectations.

Did you have to make Difficult Choices, and what are the Lessons Learned?

Boyan Peychev: I have learned a lot from the situation in the past few months.

We were forced to adapt to the situation, we hired new employees for our different offices, but we were unable to train them one on one. We were also able to document each process in the company, and now we’re prepared to work remotely to keep our team safe and healthy.

How do you deal with Stress and Anxiety? How do you Project yourself and ClouDNS in the future?

Boyan Peychev: I’m playing with my daughters. It is a lot of fun to print different toys on a small hobby 3D printer. I’m also keeping my mind clean, and my body fit by using the treadmill at home.

During the pandemic, our offices will remain closed and visit them only when necessary. We have also added additional healthcare insurance for the whole team.

Who are your Competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the Game?

Boyan Peychev: With each passing year, the Managed DNS hosting business grows. Our competitors are also increasing, but we still guarantee the best price and quality ration in the industry.

We are firmly convinced that there is no other Managed DNS hosting provider which offers a better return of the investments for its customers!

With growing competition in many business sectors, we expect many business owners and directors to realize the need to use Managed DNS hosting services.
