Brian DeAntonio of CaseWatch Tells Us How the Case Management Software has Simplified the Investigation Process

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Brian DeAntonio: My family and I are doing very well. COVID gave us a chance to reset a bit and spend quality time together. We got a lot done in the software during this time too.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded CaseWatch.
Brian DeAntonio: I started my career in sales, but I’ve been a licensed private investigator for the past 23 years. I started CaseWatch in 2018 out of an industry need for business management and case management software. CaseWatch is a case management platform on steroids. It allows you to manage expenses, invoices, retainer funds, on top of its robust case management features. By duplicating the investigation process within the software, our clients see a huge reduction in admin duties.
How does CaseWatch innovate?
Brian DeAntonio: As a business, we start all of our ideas with the investigation process. First, we look for “timesavers.” Timesavers are tasks that can be managed within the software while providing open and obvious time savings. For instance, our one-click document generator was designed because reports are a big part of any investigations, they are difficult to prepare, and they take a lot of time. In CaseWatch, if the investigator keeps up with the documentation throughout the case, CaseWatch will generate a custom, branded report in one click!
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Brian DeAntonio: Our business hasn’t been ‘directly’ affected by COVID; however, our clients have been affected by the reduction in work. This affects our business because we’re an expense, like any other expenses, and vulnerable to being discontinued. We’ve started communicating more directly with our active clients; this helps close the education and loyalty gaps if they exist.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Brian DeAntonio: did, as I suspect most have. We discontinued ‘new development’ and focused on customer support. After the pandemic, we found that new business slowed dramatically, and more customers had time to call in and ask questions. We’re back to normal now, but we may and are preparing for a potential second wave of COVID this winter.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and CaseWatch in the future?
Brian DeAntonio: I think stress is simply a ‘side effect’ of working. Our software is therapeutic because everything added or edited is cleaning up your caseload, and another task is completed. Again, case management software is surprisingly effective for people who suffer from anxiety because it ‘organizes’ their casework.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Brian DeAntonio: TrackOps, i-Sight, Crosstrax, Case Closed.
Our software is ready and easy to use out of the box. The design is appealing, and our is packed with features!!
Your final thoughts?
Brian DeAntonio: Our case management software is fully customizable and touts a one-click report and document generator. Our software is being used by private investigators, attorneys, safety managers, nurse case managers, and many more disciplines.
