We talked to Bryan Grey of OfficialBryanGrey on how to get steady traffic to a blog and he had the following to say about it.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Bryan Grey: My family and I have been pretty much indoors all this while. The lockdown didn’t affect me that much because I’m already used to working at home with my laptop as a blogger and a virtual assistant.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded OfficialBryanGrey.
Bryan Grey: I’m the founder of OfficalBryanGrey.com. Before I started my blog, I was a freelance writer, helping small business owners create epic blog posts to market their brands.
Like all freelancers will tell you, there were seasons of abundance and famine. At times, I’ll have lots of writing gigs, and at other times I’ll be out of jobs.
So, I created my blog to build my online presence and attract clients. Along the way in my freelancing journey, I discovered that I performed better as a virtual assistant than a freelance writer.
Without wasting time, I created blog posts that marketed my virtual assistant services to potential clients, and here we are today.
How does OfficialBryanGrey innovate?
Bryan Grey: At OfficialBryanGrey, we always work with online tools such as project management tools to facilitate collaboration between our team members, reducing back and forth email exchanges while boosting the turnaround time it takes to complete a client’s job.
We make it a point to integrate new online tools and adapt to current trends in our industry.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Bryan Grey: My online business is run from home, and I’ve had my teamwork remotely since the inception of the business.
With the right project management tools, the business has continued to run smoothly despite the coronavirus pandemic.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Bryan Grey: The coronavirus pandemic has only reaffirmed my belief that the future of work is remote.
Maybe if I had a physical location for my business, I would’ve been forced to make really difficult choices.
However, with what’s going on with this pandemic, I’ve learned that productivity is a notch higher when your team works remotely rather than from an office.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety?
Bryan Grey: From time to time in my online business, I encounter challenges that don’t have immediate answers, triggering slight anxiety.
I learned early on that anxiety only delays my answers from coming. So, I take a short break from work, ponder on the issue, and then engage with other non-business related activities.
More often than not, I’ll find my answer in a state of rest. My approach to stress and anxiety has always been to maintain a clear and calm mind, as I’m likely to receive what I want that way.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Bryan Grey: My competitors are mostly virtual assistant companies, with hundreds of recruited virtual assistants at their beck and call.
I plan to stay in the game by building the domain authority of my website so I can dominate Google search engine for my industry keywords.
I’m delving heavily into SEO to rank my blog posts higher in the search engine results position.

Bryan Grey: The beginning of starting an online business is always the hardest. As the years go by, it has become easier to get more clients and rank in Google for my search terms. For anyone thinking of starting an online business, the earlier you start, the better for you.
