Cihat Kahraman VSight

We talked to Cihat Kahraman of VSight about the remote support and collaboration platform with augmented reality and here is what he said about it.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Cihat Kahraman: We can not say that we are on our best days. What we are trying to do is to get used to the current reality and make sure that we protect ourselves by not forgetting to think about not endangering the people around us. Thankfully my family and I have not lost any relative due to covid-19, but seeing death rates all over the world makes us feel sorry for the lives lost. What motivates us is the hope that in the near future we will return somehow to our previous life.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded VSight.

Cihat Kahraman: As the Co-Founder and Director of Business Development, I’m responsible for the growth and go-to-market strategy of VSight. I hold BSc. degree in Computer Engineering and I have 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship and software R&D projects. Also, I have a wide range of experience in data mining and data analytics.

I founded VSight in 2014 when we quit our corporate jobs with my co-founder Ismet. We know each other for 11 years and this is the second venture we founded.

How does VSight innovate?

Cihat Kahraman: VSight doesn’t innovate, people of VSight do. We create a culture where all employees are constantly innovating at all levels throughout the teams which have allowed us to maintain growth at a considerable rate. At VSight teams’ culture is made up of the values, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors shared by all employees. For us, it’s important to be on the same desk and work together towards common goals.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business and how are you coping?

Cihat Kahraman: As well as serious implications for people’s health, coronavirus is significantly impacting businesses and the economy. At VSight, we are working closely with businesses to help them by providing AR-based remote support. VSight nowadays is taking the concept of remote support to a further level. Ignoring the pandemic and enabling people to connect virtually and collaborate through AR tools are what differentiate us. We are very happy and motivated to provide such a solution that helped us grow our business %500 in 2020.

Did you have to make difficult choices and what are the lessons learned?

Cihat Kahraman: One of the choices VSight has made was to shut down the office to curb the spread of coronavirus. Embracing remote working has not been a new thing for VSight, but above all bringing together all employees at the office have been missed. The lesson learned from all this is that it is emphasized once again the value that remote working has. Our remote workers now typically have more time and fewer distractions, which has led to increased productivity- a huge benefit of working from home.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are helping you navigate the crisis?

Cihat Kahraman: In addition to VSight Remote, which is our product at the same time, widely used by all of us, many other tools help us all in our tasks. Among them, we can mention Slack, Trello, and Google Products. Above all, we cannot forget to mention the merits of the managerial skills of team leaders in VSight. They have been the ones who have made it impossible for everyone to feel as comfortable as possible throughout this period driving in the best way possible.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Cihat Kahraman: We have good players in the market that provide nice solutions but we are competing with someone specifically. VSight believes in its product, believes in the values and benefits it can offer to its customers. What is important for us is the maximum fulfilment of the needs that our customers have, by facilitating their operating processes and enabling them to solve in the most efficient way problems they may face.

Your final thoughts?

Cihat Kahraman: At VSight we are trying to do the best to provide to every business remote support and help them to keep the employees safe and connected during this challenging time.
