Practicing Good Internal Communication is What Keeps the Company Running Smoothly, Says Clara Beck, Business Manager at Thomson Data

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Clara Beck: Fortunately, everyone in my family is safe and healthy. We have never been more cautious about our health. We’re taking all precautions and keeping ourselves active.
Though it has not been easy balancing work and home life, I’m glad to say that we’ve actually found a way to stay positive in such trying times. I’m also grateful that my Thomson Data family has chosen to react positively to these challenging times and have been working continuously to keep the business running smoothly.
Tell us about you, your career, how you joined Thomson Data
Clara Beck: Strong and powerful women have always inspired me in business, and I aspired to be one myself. Because of that, I decided to attend Texas State University to earn my master’s in business administration.
And now, I’m currently working as a Business Manager at Thomson Data. It’s been 7 years since I became a member of this incredible organization. As a Business Manager at Thomson Data, I have helped companies achieve their objectives and goals related to profitability, productivity, industry penetration, and sales, among other areas. I have also been directing public held corporations, non-profit institutions, and privately owned businesses with their overall operations across a wide range of industries.
How does Thomson Data innovate?
Clara Beck: As a company aiming to help B2B businesses in all their marketing and sales endeavors, we innovate by offering custom B2B solutions. With over 150 data experts and cutting edge facilities, we at Thomson Data are working hard to expand our presence globally to favor customers’ interests. Besides that, we’re also working towards offering timely services without any hassle.
Our efforts don’t stop there; we deliver top-notch quality business data by regularly keeping it fresh and updated to ensure unvarying performance. We even deliver customized B2B data based on title, industry, location, and other popular segments to build a more target-specific list.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Clara Beck: Like every other business around the world, we were skeptical about how we were going to deal with the changes. Initially, we thought it would impact our business, but gradually it improved since email is the best source for personalized communication. We also knew that an effective business practice was in need to make sure that our company ran smoothly.
We implemented a few practices in our organization to ensure we didn’t lose our employees’ trust and achieve satisfactory business results.
For instance, we made sure to execute good internal communication by engaging with our employees via email, videos, chat groups, and so on.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Clara Beck: COVID-19 Impacted the business across the USA and the world. So, we thought to take a difficult choice for an employee layoff, but we had decided to support our employees during these tough times who had supported our journey to come this far. We learned that was the right decision taken by us.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety, how do you project yourself and Thomson Data in the future?
Clara Beck: When you’re a business manager of a growing organization, it’s not that easy to escape the stress the work brings along. However, I find it quite helpful to remind myself of all the positive things going on in my life at the moment rather than focusing so much on all the unaccomplished goals.
It’s all about prioritizing your goals and working towards achieving them. Also, exercising and keeping myself active has been really helpful.
As for our company, I believe the future is going to be quite lucrative for us. Most importantly, our expert team of data scientists is working towards offering quality B2B data services to our clients so they can achieve their business goals quickly and with ease.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Clara Beck: Some direct competitors in the market offer business data solutions; however, I’m quite confident in the services we offer. Moreover, we’re trusted by our customers, not just for our services but also because we follow ethical business practices. Most importantly, we ensure that our data complies with all data privacy policies. As for staying ahead in the game, we believe in providing a stellar customer experience to all our clients post the service delivery.
Your final thoughts
Clara Beck: Despite the many challenges the pandemic has brought about for businesses across the world, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at Thomson Data for working so hard to keep our business running smoothly and support each other to adjust to the changes effortlessly.
