Daniele Marinelli, CEO of DTSocialize tells us about data protection.
Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded DTSocialize?
Daniele Marinelli: After I graduated, I started to work as a consultant for big corporations in Italy. I enrolled in the National Taxation Institute, and I continued doing consultancy activity for 23 years. One day I realized that that job wasn’t my dream. I’ve always been passionate about technology, and I started to look into blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. But what really intrigued me was what big companies such as Facebook and Google were doing with people’s data. I didn’t think it was right that these companies were releasing data online without users knowing and profiting from it.
My dream was to create something new, a global community where people could protect their data and access services that ensure their privacy and give users a choice to share their data. People who opted to share their data within the community would be rewarded.
How does DTSocialize innovate?
Daniele Marinelli: Step by step, we are creating this community by providing different services. From hardware to software and apps linked to the social communication world to everything people need in terms of fintech services. We offer online financial services and payment solutions, and our ambition is to create a bridge that can connect everything.
Our main goal is to complete the development of our Metaverse called Umetaworld. We are creating the users’ digital IDs (with NFT Technology) and providing them with the opportunity to transact, message, connect, socialize and manage their assets within Umetaworld. Umetaworld is our new world; it’s not something about gaming but what we think is the natural evolution of the web.
What are the current trends in the fintech industry, and how fast does it change?
Daniele Marinelli: Actually, we don’t think of DTSocialize as a simple fintech company. We are a community by all means, and even though we are into the fintech world as well, it is not the only industry we look at.
Our view is that people have growing needs and that banks are not yet fully equipped to satisfy those demands, especially when it comes to crypto. We have to say that regulations don’t really help because many growing phenomena have been underestimated for years, and now it’s time to be clearer about crypto and fintech services. The evolution we see in this world is toward integrating it into the Metaverse to provide a unique customer and user experience.
What is the target audience of DTSocialize? Do you have any interesting partnerships?
Daniele Marinelli: It’s a very wide target because it’s about all the people that are “privacy sensitive.” But we are also targeting companies for the many types of services we can provide them, from financial services to specific software to the possibility of integrating their offer into Umetaworld. It’s not yet time to talk about the partnership we are developing but keep an eye on us, and you will find out more.
Tell us more about your holding. What is the structure of the company?
Daniele Marinelli: Our holding is based in the UK, and we have basically three different business lines:
– FinTech Group has expanded its product lines and seamlessly integrates fiat and crypto operations for an easy and smart client experience.
– Social Communications Group offers communication and networking tools based on new generation blockchain platforms with integrated financial capability provided by the FinTech Group. It generates best-in-class Big Data-driven analytics for commercialization and is in the process of rolling out a unique Metaverse experience.
– Digital Money and Payments Group works to expand its current payment solution systems into new technologies to offer new ways for transacting in the DTSH ecosystem.
How do you see the future of DTSocialize?
Daniele Marinelli: We dream of a bright future and a better world. Our Metaverse will be a way to improve your perception of reality, your experience of the world, and the services and products you could need. And our ambition is to share this new world with the community we’ve already built and keep on building. And to reward the community for its support. Our users are not just that, but we think of them as our ambassadors, and we are deeply grateful to them for believing in our project.
Your final thoughts?
Daniele Marinelli: I believe that anybody can choose their way. I really want to leave behind something that will be alive after I won’t be anymore. This is for my daughter and all the people who have supported me in this journey I’ve started.
