Daria Dubinina, founder of Crassula tells us about digital banking and payment solutions.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Daria Dubinina: COVID times are not the easiest we have experienced. We are very used to enjoying everything that normal life offers us – meeting friends, going out, visiting family abroad. Since everything is closed, including borders, it is hard not to be able to be close by when it’s needed, although technologies make it easier to make a call and see people you miss.

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded Crassula.

Daria Dubinina: I am a FinTech entrepreneur and CEO of Crassula. I have dedicated over 10 years to mastering payments, e-commerce, and business development. As a strategist and entrepreneur, I have also led major partnership deals with Fortune 500 companies. My expertise and specialization lie in payments, strategic management, international business development, financial technologies, and international regulations.

How does Crassula innovate?

Daria Dubinina: Crassula is innovating by providing White Label cloud banking products to businesses of any size and shape. Banking-as-a-service or banking-as-a-platform concepts are actively adopted by businesses as they started integrating banking services into their offerings. The beauty of Crassula software is that it can be implemented by any type of business, just as well as financial institutions. We innovate together with our customers. Our client base is unique – clients come from different sectors, and each of them brings great and sometimes challenging ideas, so we help them bring the ideas to life. We believe a robust digital foundation nurtures a sustainable platform.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Daria Dubinina: The past year has been a special learning experience for all of us. One of the rapid changes was the shift towards cashless and cleaner payments. As our product is fully digital and the team is working remotely from day one, it wasn’t too challenging to continue growing even during COVID-19 times.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Daria Dubinina: While the global pandemic is still ongoing, businesses predict that the trend will continue even after returning to “normal” life. Thanks to telecom services such as Zoom, we can communicate with our existing and potential clients all over the world. We emphasize clear and concise communication within the company, sharing all the company’s ideas and vision on a daily-weekly-monthly basis, sharing ups and downs to keep everyone up to date.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Daria Dubinina: Our competitors are companies offering digital banking software. However, we are providing our product with some USP’s our competitors do not have. Crassula is an ecosystem where users can build their own banking products. First of all, it provides back-end solutions and front-end Web and mobile app interfaces, fully branded to the client. Additionally, Crassula has over 40 different integrations that clients can choose from to make their product one-of-a-kind. Considering increased demand for cryptocurrencies, we have developed crypto banking and crypto exchange software within the Crassula platform. Finally, we can set-up the whole system within 10 business days. In that way, Crassula offers their clients significant benefits, including improved time to market and time to value.

Your final thoughts?

Daria Dubinina: In the future, we’ll see more adoption of FinTech to the other industries, and more companies would like to build their own banking products, payment solutions, loyalty programs, wallets, and more. That’s why automation, scalability, ecosystem openness are important points for Crassula development.
