Tell us a few words about the founders and how the idea came
Samuel Munguti is the Founder of Farmers Pride. Samuel was brought up in rural Eastern Kenya by smallholder subsistence farmers. He grew up experiencing challenges rural farmers go through every day in Africa like access to quality products, services and informations. All these challenges have over the years contributed to poor harvest plunging rural families in a vicious circle of poverty.
Twenty years later in 2015 after completing his masters degree in marketing, he decided it is ripe time to design a solution to address rural farmer challenges starting with his home province before spreading to rest of Kenya and Africa. Farmers Pride agro dealer franchise model idea was born and so far looks a revolutionary platform to address both rural farmers and agro dealer challenges. Samuel says he is excited to see though now in small scale, the way the model is benefiting local farmers.
