We talked to Gabriel Dominguez Martin, CEO, and co-founder of Primalogik, about employee performance monitoring, and this is what he said about it.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Gabriel Dominguez Martin: It’s definitely been an adjustment, but thankfully our family is in good health and doing good overall.
Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded Primalogik.
Gabriel Dominguez Martin: Primalogik was founded in 2013 by myself and David Levesque , CTO, and co-founder of Primalogik. Before starting this company, I was a manager in another firm and experienced first-hand the challenges of conducting 360 reviews when you’re not equipped with the right technology. We started Primalogik because we wanted to offer a simpler way of running 360 reviews and provide the flexibility needed by companies to create their own unique workflows.
How does Primalogik innovate?
Gabriel Dominguez Martin: At first Primalogik focused on 360-degree feedback surveys only. Today, our users can additionally launch performance reviews, track goals, share continuous feedback, and conduct engagement surveys. We want our customers to have the best experience when it comes to creating their own performance management programs. We are always looking for new ideas that can make our client’s lives easier. So we truly listen to what they have to say about the product and that helps guide our next steps.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?
Gabriel Dominguez Martin: Like many other businesses, we’ve experienced a slowdown in sales in the first months following the start of the pandemic. I think many people didn’t know how it would affect their industries and so many companies put their projects on hold when it came to purchasing new technologies. Luckily for us, things quickly came back to normal and we even started seeing an increase in demand. I think a lot of businesses found a way to continue moving forward amidst this pandemic. And with many businesses working remotely, it became even more important to acquire the right technology to properly follow up on employee performance.
How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?
Gabriel Dominguez Martin: We’ve been a very tech-oriented company so we were ready for remote work almost immediately. We changed a bit our focus towards content to help our customers become more efficient. So we decided to put more emphasis on webinars, video tutorials, and reorganizing our knowledge base.

Gabriel Dominguez Martin: This pandemic has transformed the Human Resources industry. Many businesses had to shift their activities by having employees work remotely in trying to keep everyone safe. And this brought a whole new set of challenges in the way companies manage employee onboarding, team meetings, and performance management. Now more than ever, it’s important to be equipped with the right technologies to keep your workforce connected and engaged.
