First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Jayanti Katariya: Thank you for asking. We are doing pretty good actually. The quarantine period opened the doors for us to spend some dedicated family time together, which resulted in a happy time for all of us. We have been fortunate enough to be around each other at a time like this. I can’t begin to fathom the yearning many people would have who are not with their family right now. For us, we are making sure that we get the best out of it and continue to fight this battle in togetherness.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Moon Technolabs.

Jayanti Katariya: Coding has always been my forte ever since my schooling years. That penchant of mine led me to step up my game and start developing apps and websites. This hobby soon turned into a passion, and having a go-to-market approach helped me develop myself. I started Moon Technolabs in 2009 to fill what I sensed as a void in the mobile app development arena. I like to encompass myself with a bunch of tech-aficionados. I strive to connect with them, join them, recruit them, develop them, and work with dedication to shape them. The journey has been the best learning curve for me to be able to turn people’s ideas into reality and help each other grow.

How does Moon Technolabs innovate?

Jayanti Katariya: Innovation always plays a major role when you’re running a business; that’s a given. The thing is if you’re left behind in keeping up with the latest technological trends, it’ll take a huge chunk of courage and luck to bounce back. One of the best things about working with like-minded people is the fact that innovation comes inherently, thus making us stay ahead of the curve. Our solution makes up for the time we’ve spent researching and implementing to give the best possible outcome for our clientele. We are always on the lookout to exceed our services and make sure as to what we can do to make them even more successful and efficient. While most businesses face the consequences of COVID-19, we provide seamless invoicing solutions that stay true to its name by pushing businesses forward.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Jayanti Katariya: Every business has suffered its fair share of drops. We’ve been lucky enough to help pivot more businesses to meet their requirements in these degrading economic times. We’ve managed to fasten up our product’s deliverables and provide the crucial features much earlier than it was previously decided.

This pandemic has also allowed us to move forward remotely, allowing us to rapidly change the way we communicate as we’ve managed to work together remotely even while working miles away from each other. Amidst this, it has allowed us to perform every task more carefully and discuss everything before taking action.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Jayanti Katariya: Earlier, when the panic settled in, it was more than difficult to cope with the situation under tremendous pressure. The COVID-19 outbreak has managed to break even the mentally strongest beings. If there’s one thing that I’ve learned in this pandemic is to keep going no matter how hard the situation is. Trust your team and have some faith, and you’ll be able to overcome hurdles.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety, how do you project yourself and Moon Technolabs in the future?

Jayanti Katariya: Truly, startup life can be unpleasant for anybody. The hours can be long, and it tends to be overwhelming to construct an organization starting from the earliest stage. The COVID-19 pandemic absolutely hasn’t assisted with pressure either, from the financial vulnerability to the switch to remote working.

Nonetheless, it helps realize that we are all in this together and that we will all get out of this together. Actually, I manage stress and tension by attempting to keep up a solid work-life balance. The time that I spend with my family is precious, and I ensure that opportunity to keep me grounded and healthy. I am making extra efforts to remain close with my employees, realizing that it is a higher priority than at any other time to keep up those connections when we can’t truly be together.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Jayanti Katariya: Looking ahead at the bigger picture, there are many others in the same space. Our goal is simple, though; provide a result-oriented approach with cost-effective service. At Moon Invoice, we have a highly competitive team that works relentlessly on maximizing our product and enhancing our customer experience.

Your final thoughts?

Jayanti Katariya: Everything has its challenges, and we love conquering those challenges, for it drives us to work even harder.
