Jeff Hall Overflow Cafe

We talked to Jeff Hall of Overflow Cafe on how they make websites popular and here is what he had to say about it.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Jeff Hall: My family and I are frustrated over the devastation the government has caused.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Overflow Cafe.

Jeff Hall: I grew up in a poor household, coming to Canada from South America in the early ’80s. I dropped out of high school to start a tech company in 1995. The internet was a brand new thing in Canada at the time, and I saw a lot of opportunities to take businesses online.

How does Overflow Cafe innovate?

Jeff Hall: We try to use automation as much as possible, including Artificial Intelligence. We also promote continuing education among our diverse team of computer nerds.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Jeff Hall: The pandemic itself hasn’t done anything to us, but the government attack on small businesses has hurt our 50,000+ clients, who are mainly small businesses. Hair salons, doctors, massage therapists, photographers, and companies of all kinds who can’t do business because the government says so. Meanwhile, Amazon and Wal Mart are enjoying tremendous growth.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Jeff Hall: We’ve had to move all team members out of the office, we’ve stopped meeting with clients in person, so nothing terribly difficult.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and Overflow Cafe in the future?

Jeff Hall: My team and I take more mandatory days off to decompress, and we try to stay away from mainstream media and fear-mongering as much as possible.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Jeff Hall: We do digital marketing via Artificial Intelligence. Our competitors are other digital marketers; however, during this time, many of them have outsourced a lot of their projects to us, which frees them up to focus on generating more sales; it’s been a win-win.

Your final thoughts?

Jeff Hall: I wish every entrepreneur the best, keep pressing on towards your goals and consider this pandemic just a detour or speedbump in your journey.
