Jonathan Parker-Bray, CEO of Pryvate Now tells us about communications technology.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Jonathan Parker-Bray: We are, for the most part doing OK. The lockdown situation can be tedious and bothersome at times, but the majority of the household works remotely, and studying has moved to online arrangements.
Wishing everyone a safe passage through these troublesome times and look forward to the world opening up again in the near future… we hope!
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Pryvate Now.
Jonathan Parker-Bray: I’m a motivated entrepreneur originating from the telecommunications industry and have been active in bringing innovative business solutions to market for over 20 years, with multiple companies built, acquired, and sold.
I founded Pryvate Now after noticing a gap in the communications and privacy market. With a history in Law, I constantly saw people’s data being compromised and knew that this was a very big deal. As the digital space is embraced universally, more confidential data is intercepted and exploited at the expense of service users, which are serious and repetitive breaches of privacy, often labeled as data leaks in order to void accountability.
How does Pryvate Now innovate?
Jonathan Parker-Bray: Pryvate is a privacy-based, future-focused, and forward-thinking company, we like to add features in our applications that deliver unique utility to our end users. We actively introduce features with our users’ best interests in mind.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Jonathan Parker-Bray: Our company is digitally based, with many of our staff working from home, which I’m thankful for at this point, considering the amount of companies unable to continue their operations effectively during the pandemic.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Jonathan Parker-Bray: We have had to rearrange our operations a small bit and have learned that employee satisfaction is key to sustaining growth. In addition to this, we have come to identify that when our employees are happy, they perform far better, and mutual trust between all parts of the operation ensures smooth growth in our remote working scenario.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
Jonathan Parker-Bray: We actively use the Pryvate App to manage and undertake our conference calls in privacy. In addition, we use Slack, Skype, and parts of the Google Suite for our general and miscellaneous operations that require less security.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Jonathan Parker-Bray: Pryvate is a unique, privacy-based, social, and professional communications solution, with all features incorporated within one familiar interface. Our users range from everyday people to high-profile business owners, put simply, if they value privacy and the security or peace of mind it provides in our current digital climate, where data and conversations are actively leaked and sold to advertisers and other miscellaneous agencies, then a triple-encrypted solution like Pryvate is for them. We frequently roll out utility-based features to benefit our users and look forward to bringing a sophisticated yet user-friendly privacy-based communications application in the evergreen communications field. Our development schedule ensures that a new space will be carved into the social and professional communications niche. We do not compete but instead aspire to create a lane of our own.
Soon offering our Pryvate Crypto Wallets with access to our Pryvatex exchanges.
Your final thoughts?
Jonathan Parker-Bray: No matter who you are and what you do, stay focused and don’t give up! You only lose when you leave the game, so keep playing and keep building. Thank you, Startup.info, for the platform, much appreciated.
