Judit Izquierdo tells us how patients trust Siquia.com‘s team of online psychologists to improve their lives.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Siquia.com.
Judit Izquierdo: I am CEO and founder of Siquia.com, the Spanish leading online psychology website since 2012. My studies are focused on two different fields, journalism and psychology, but I have developed my career in Siquia managing its corporative communication since I found it.
In 2012 I participated in a startup program arranged by Santander Bank and they helped me to materialize my idea of “distanced psychology”.
Nowadays I also rule a communication agency, Tilde Comunicación, where we offer content marketing services, social ads managing and digital strategies for any kind of company.
How does Siquia.com innovate?
Judit Izquierdo: Our main objective has always been the democratization of psychology so everyone could have access to a therapist, and we have been working on that idea for almost ten years now. Our team is currently working with almost 1.500 patients that rely on our specialists.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?
Judit Izquierdo: In reality, the coronavirus pandemic did not have a negative impact in Siquia as people started to normalize the use of videoconferences for every aspect of their lives, including medical purposes.
Society now understands the importance of mental health. This may be because, after the lockdown, the rate of people who were suffering from different mental diseases, such as anxiety or any kind of depression has risen up, and going to a therapist is, step by step, stopping from being a taboo issue.
How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?
Judit Izquierdo: It has not changed at all. Our patients have always been online. We do use tools to organize our team like Asana, Skype, Zoom, Calendly and Stripe.
Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?
Judit Izquierdo: No, we did not.
