A New Way to Watch Sports for FREE

We talked to Kanthi D Suresh of Power Sportz TV about live sports and she had the following to say:-

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times? 

Kanthi D Suresh: Like they say, ‘Charity begins at home,’ it’s important to follow all Covid related protocol amongst family members, to begin with, so that it becomes a habit that can be effortlessly implemented outside of homes as well. That’s the need of the hour, and my family and I are abiding by the same.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Power Sportz TV.

Kanthi D Suresh: From my experience of covering the Olympics, Commonwealth, and Asian Games for India, I understood the gap areas in the field of Sports and therefore went one to launch India’s first Sports news channel, which also happens to be the first live Sports flagship Web TV, in the World.

How does Power Sportz TV innovate? 

Kanthi D Suresh: Creativity and innovation is the hallmark of our business. We are alive 24×7 Sports channel on an OTT platform, and we are told that we could be the first one in the World to having an independent flagship live sports channel on OTT. And it is the product of a high degree of creative thinking. The desire to do what no one else has done before helps us innovate.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Kanthi D Suresh: 2020 has been a digital year, and the Pandemic has forced us to enhance and multiply our creative and digital skills manifold. The year has been the best for us with enhanced product features, and we are looking forward to a great 2021

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Kanthi D Suresh: Yes, an unprecedented situation demands some quick decision making and prioritization. We went in for more automation, which resulted in downsizing our workforce and focusing only on critical programming and letting go of what added to more Capex and Opex costs for the organization. The Pandemic has taught us that when Creative Intelligence is high, wasteful expenditure becomes low.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety?

Kanthi D Suresh: All that is part of entrepreneurship, and I think you enter into a high-risk entrepreneurial venture only once you are aware of the stressful nature of the job and you build up the ability to handle it. When you’re aware, you automatically handle it better.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Kanthi D Suresh: We compete with ourselves, and try our better ourselves every day, to be in the game. We are currently in a space where we see the entire World as our market, and we wish to create proposals for each country where we can give more. What goes around comes around! Let’s begin by creating more benefit to others
