What is your top priority in this COVID-19 times?

Krish Govindaraj: Our foremost priority is the safety of our employees and their families. To ensure their health and safety, we monitor the changing circumstances frequently and keep our teams updated to follow the guidelines of local health authorities. We want to make sure our employees can work safely and comfortably during this tough time.

What is the primary focus of eGrove Systems?

Krish Govindaraj: We at eGrove focus on offering ready-made and automated solutions in eCommerce development and digital marketing and using our products Elite mCommerce and Elite Site Optimizer. Our goal is to create technologies that help businesses maximize their efficiency and connect with their customers on a deeper level. Whether it’s designing apps, optimizing websites, or creating marketing strategies, we always try to provide easily accessible business solutions with the best possible user experience.  

How does eGrove Systems innovate?

Krish Govindaraj: Innovation is a vital element of staying competitive in our industry. We continuously monitor our customers’ challenges and work to find solutions that don’t just meet their needs but anticipate their needs. We listen to the first-hand experience they have so we know what they are dealing with and what they expect from innovative, top-of-the-line services, then we make new iterations of our projects that excel in those areas.

It’s also crucial to stay in touch with the latest trends in the industry. We study multiple approaches to a problem and encourage constant feedback from our development teams about ideas for new features. We try to implement automation into every feature we design when possible to create smarter, more efficient products that are easier for our customers to adopt.

How the Coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Krish Govindaraj: Our regular office dynamic has definitely been affected by the circumstances of the pandemic. During this situation, the top priority of our employees has been to safeguard themselves from community infections and stay safe with their loved ones. While doing so, the company’s common goals have sometimes been impacted by the absence of the right employee at work, connectivity issues, and hardware issues, resulting in delays and changing deadlines. We know everyone else is dealing with similar situations, and we work through it as best we can. eGrove’s team has risen to the challenge of adopting different platforms, resources, and channels to get the work done regardless.

We’ve recognized that when we’re using different platforms and resources to accomplish the job remotely, data security must be given the top priority. The code and data we handle must be protected, so we use innovative cloud technologies and security systems to keep it secure when working in a more flexible environment.

Our partners and customers have also been affected by the pandemic, so that impacts us as well. Sometimes their priorities have changed due to shifts in the business climate, so we have to adapt to different requirements and schedules to meet their needs. We try to share our technical expertise and ensure that everyone is connected and communicating with one another even in hard times.  

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Krish Govindaraj: This pandemic is a new situation for everyone, and we’ve learned a lot over the last few months. We’ve had to make new arrangements for our infrastructure, security, and flexible working environment for our employees. With uncertainty in the current market situation, we’ve had to weigh risk versus reward when deciding whether or not to go forward with new initiatives that we were very excited about launching. Ultimately, we need to wait, watch, and make the right decisions that keep us running.

And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Krish Govindaraj: We plan to keep adding new features to our products based on the market’s needs. New demands are arising as a result of the pandemic, and things that weren’t priorities a few months ago are now essential. For instance, making our eCommerce mobile apps support curbside pickup options is a simple addition that helps businesses serve their customers. And now more than ever, businesses need to share up-to-date information about their status with their audience, and we’re working to help our customers maximize their visibility.

Krish Govindaraj: The COVID Pandemic is a new situation that we as a company didn’t expect, but we’ve done our best to keep it from interrupting our goals. As a global company, we understand the need to address different social and working conditions for team members’ well-being. As a high-tech company, we’ve embraced the opportunity to innovate and meet the new demands imposed by the pandemic both in our working conditions and our customers’ needs.
