We talked to Kristelle Siarza of Siarza Digital about running a business in the digital marketing space.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Kristelle Siarza: I have to say that things have been tough and challenging lately due to the Coronavirus pandemic. A lot of people are under stress and have experienced anxiety. It’s a good thing that I’m surrounded by the people I love. They make everything bearable.
My family has always been closed with one another. However, I can say that we became a lot closer during the COVID-19 season. We have been supporting one another. Even these trying times, we still find time to meet regularly or exchange Filipino food.
With both my team and my family, we never part ways without saying, “I love you” or “I miss you.” I am genuinely grateful for having them in my life.
How does Siarza Digital innovate?
Kristelle Siarza: Managing a company is not an easy thing to do, as several factors must be considered. To ensure that we always stay on top of the game, Siarza Digital makes an effort to innovate.
As a company, we innovate by prioritizing the need to learn new things and acquire new experiences. We are continuously learning. At the same time, our company also has four core values: quality, community, innovation, and diversity. Everyone in our company understands the importance of these values when delivering work and dealing with clients.
Moreover, Siarza Digital is also composed of young individuals and has a unique company culture. We see to it that we stay on top of the latest trends and adapt to what’s new in the industry.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Kristelle Siarza: The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way people conduct business. Nowadays, everything is going digital. For Siarza Digital, we are adapting to these latest changes by ensuring that we are available on all digital platforms. Our top priority is to see to it that we get in touch with our clients regularly, through the use of online tools. Our aim is to develop and maintain constant communications for existing clients and potential customers through different online channels.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Kristelle Siarza: Yes, I needed to make difficult choices in my life, but I’m proud to say that I’ve learned a lot from them. Each experience offers a great life lesson that I will always remember and live by.
One of the lessons I learned during the pandemic is that being financially independent is really important. Everyone should understand the value of knowing their finances and managing them well. Several companies and individuals have suffered financial issues due to unforeseen circumstances, such as the coronavirus. Many companies have ceased their operations, and some workers were terminated. This is a reminder that we should always save for the rainy season. We must learn to set aside extra cash to be prepared for whatever will come our way.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety, how do you project yourself and Siarza Digital in the future?
Kristelle Siarza: Whenever I’m stressed out, all I do is remind myself that I need to slow down. I always emphasize the importance of work-life balance. This is the reason why I take a break every now and then. I also connect with my friends or family members to catch up with each other’s lives. There are days when I simply rest at home, play golf, or find a great destination where I can enjoy solitude.
I believe that better things are coming for Siarza Digital and me. There are endless possibilities for our company! As a matter of fact, we are already planning for our strategies and goals for the next year. We are aiming to improve our services and grow our company!
How do you plan to stay in the game?
Kristelle Siarza: Staying ahead of the game has always been the focus of Siarza Digital. We understand that we are operating a company in saturated business industry. We have several competitors, which is the primary reason why we continue to innovate.
As the founder and owner of this firm, I am committed to improving what we do so we can serve our clients better. The company’s goal is not only to earn profits from what we do but also to help our clients succeed. We believe that doing this can help us stay ahead of the game. It will not be easy, but I believe that we have the right people and resources to make it happen.
Your final thoughts?
Kristelle Siarza: Indeed, things are never going to be the same again. We have to live in the new normal. Everything may seem tough and difficult at the moment, but with each other’s help, we can get through this. We have to build each other up. Life is so much better when shared with the best people who have the same passion as we have!
