First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Kurt Sheffer: So far, we are doing fine. We are taking all the CDC precautions and avoiding gatherings or crowded places.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Medical tourism.
Kurt Sheffer: Well, I graduated in marketing, and over the last 15 years, I have been working with companies to help them develop digital marketing campaigns and images. After that, I decided it was time to put my experience and knowledge to use and started Medical tourism.
How does Medical tourism innovate?
Kurt Sheffer: We are up to date in all the SEO and marketing trends to help our visitors get the best experience while visiting our website.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Kurt Sheffer: Our main goal is to offer our visitors the best Healthcare options in Mexico, so all of our specialists had to adapt to all the CDC and WHO guidelines to continue providing a safe and COVID-19 free experience for the patients that use our network.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Kurt Sheffer: No difficult choices so far. The lesson as a company we have learned is the importance of offering quality services and having an efficient administration to respond in real-time and in the most proper ways possible to meet the guidelines and ensure the travelers a safe experience.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
Kurt Sheffer: Well, to deal with this crisis, my experience so far is to be the most informed about the changing guidelines and to have all communication channels open so our team can be well informed and in contact communication, so we can make decisions in the base of the newest information.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Kurt Sheffer: To be honest, I don’t pay much attention to competitors. I try to focus on our company and how WE can be better every day. Our goal is to make the experience of our visitors the most present and well inform with quality and factual content.
