We talked to Magnus Franck, CEO at Upptec, about content automation and this is what he said about it. 

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times? 

Magnus Franck: We are all well thank you and are adjusting to the restrictions to our best effort. 

Tell us about you, your career, and how you joined Upptec.

Magnus Franck: I joined Upptec in 2017. For me, it was clear that together with the innovative solution of automation in the claims process we could really offer a revolutionized service to the insurance market. 

How does Upptec innovate? 

Magnus Franck: We have a strong partnership with our customers and ecosystem where we share innovation and best practice to always be the pioneer in the digital transformation.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business and how are you coping?

Magnus Franck: The pandemic has increased the demand for insurance companies to become more digital and meeting their customers digitally. As the Upptec solution enables the insurance companies to have a completely automated self-service solution for claims handling within Property & Casualty our business has benefitted and pushed the industry to undergo digital transformation at a much higher pace. During this crisis, Upptec has actually signed a major deal with one of the largest Insurance companies in the world.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Magnus Franck: As we are an insurtech-company and operate in the digital space we are not suffering from the pandemic as more conservative companies with physical products do. We meet our customers and partners/suppliers digitally and I think thanks to the pandemic this is a new normal way of working for major parts of the industry. 

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Magnus Franck: We are constantly on the lookout for improvement and innovative solutions to cater to our customers’ needs. We dare to question old conceptions, and this makes it possible for us to foresee the market needs. We are always innovating; our product is never finished and we strive for improvements in all parts of our business.

Your final thoughts?

Magnus Franck: We are at the start of a new era of the insurance industry where the customer experience is the winning formula.
