Markus Stripf: We are good – thanks for asking!
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Spoon Guru.
Markus Stripf: I was the former Warner Music Group MD with 20 years experience at the forefront of the digital content and grocery business’s transition into digital. We set up the company because we noticed how people in our close network and family members struggled to find the right foods for their individual dietary needs. Spoon Guru is now an award-winning, AI-based Health & Wellness platform, enabling food retailers to deliver personalized shopping experiences based on consumers’ unique dietary preferences and health needs.
How does Spoon Guru innovate?
Markus Stripf: We use AI-based nutrition analysis to make sense of huge sets of unstructured data, and we create engaging digital food search and discovery experiences. Not a simple task, we crunch more than 14 billion data points on a daily basis and have analyzed hundreds of thousands of food products and recipes.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?
Markus Stripf: Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?
We decided to shut down the office. We are 100% remote and distributed now, all over the world.
How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?
Markus Stripf: We pride ourselves in providing excellent client support, and our client success team goes the extra mile to make sure our partners get what they need.
