CIRCLY – Upcycling meets Skincare

We talked to Maximilian Munz & Oliver Kremer about how C!RCLY is the skin care brand that’s good for us and the environment.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Maximilian Munz: As we are a startup, we are working almost 24/7 in order to boost our company. This has the positive side effect that we have a distraction from the pandemic and not focusing on the breaking news that can negatively affect our mood.
Our families are doing great and focusing more on activities that can be done alone.
How does CIRCLY innovate?
Oliver Kremer: Our company CIRCLY combines Upcycling with natural skincare.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Maximilian Munz: The pandemic has negatively affected almost every business. We sensed that some of our retailers were somehow restrained regarding the ordering of our products although they really liked them. However, after the first phase of the lockdown, the retailers began to reorder again, for they had stomached the total lockdown shock.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Oliver Kremer: We switched from offline retail to a more online-focused retail approach.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and CIRCLY in the future?
Maximilian Munz: As we are both somewhat optimistic people, we are working hard to keep the team in good spirits. Digital detox and long walks in the countryside can help a lot!
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Oliver Kremer: For this, we will keep you posted.
