Mike Cronley Class Composer

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Mike Cronley: We are well, fortunately. I hope you are well.

How does Class Composer innovate?

Mike Cronley: It’s a combination. We have a strong vision of how we want to help teachers and principals, and we listen to our customers.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Mike Cronley: For us, it’s been helpful. Since elementary school teachers couldn’t meet in person to create class lists, elementary schools were searching for an online solution.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Mike Cronley: We have continued to follow our path. Fortunately, more teachers were looking for us now.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and Class Composer in the future?

Mike Cronley: Stressbusters:

1. Exercise. I ride a road bike and a mountain bike.

2. Get enough sleep.

3. Meditate. I am trying to be more disciplined with this. When I do – it really helps.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Mike Cronley: Our why is to make a difference in the lives of elementary students. We plan on doing this by providing easy access to useful and visible information that helps teachers make better data-based decisions. As we’ve gotten more feedback from users, we know there are more challenges elementary school teachers face that we are in a unique position to solve beyond just creating class lists. We plan on leveraging our core features (Student Card, Student Cell, Digital Data Wall, and drag and drop capability) to become a year-round collaboration and improved data visualization platform. We recently launched a new grouping feature on October 17, 2020. This helps teachers create seating charts and other small instructional groups.
