Mike Podesto Tells How Find My Profession has Helped Thousands of Job Seekers to Find Meaningful Careers Through Resume Writing and Career Coaching

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Mike Podesto: We are doing good. Thanks for asking.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Find My Profession
Mike Podesto: Find My Profession was founded in 2015. After working as a technical recruiter in the Bay Area, I wanted to create a service that was more catered towards job seekers. Today, we have helped thousands of job seekers find meaningful careers through resume writing and career coaching.
How does Find My Profession innovate?
Mike Podesto: We constantly have to stay up-to-date on the latest resume and job search trends. With new job sites, applicant tracking systems, and hiring standards, our services have to be ever-evolving. Recently due to COVID-19, we have had to shift gears by helping many more individuals find fully-remote positions.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Mike Podesto: The coronavirus pandemic has caused many individuals to rethink their careers. Whether they were laid off, fired, or sent to work from home, many people are reconsidering their career paths. We have been able to help a lot of people strategize their next career move during these unorthodox times.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Mike Podesto: Originally, when COVID-19 struck, we had to plan for the future. We had to lay off a division of our company due to the uncertainty. We were able to shift gears and turn this division into a new team that was a bit more recession-proof. We learned that anything could happen in a matter of days, and it is always best to be prepared. Also, you have to act fast. If you sit around and wait for things to change, you will be left behind.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and Find My Profession in the future?
Mike Podesto: We thrive off stress/anxiety. Uncertainty enables innovation, and we have been able to make a lot of positive changes as a company as a result of the coronavirus. We have a very bright future and can’t wait for what is to come in 2021.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Mike Podesto: Any company that provides paid resume writing services and career coaching is our competitor. We are constantly staying at the top of our market by coming up with newer, better, and more innovative ways to market to our clients and serve them with the world’s highest quality career services.
Your final thoughts
Mike Podesto: While the coronavirus has been a tragic event globally, it’s given thousands of companies the ability to make pivots that never would have been possible. We are grateful that as a company, we are able to help job seekers find work in this time of uncertainty.
