Tell us a few words about the founders and how the idea came

I am a professional Nurse working in the emergency department which is physically demanding and exhausting, but it means so much when a patient squeezes my hand and thanks me for helping him or her. Or when the mother of a pediatric patient hugs me at a follow-up appointment because her child survived, in large part due to the care the patient received from me and my fellow nurses, that means a lot.

I got interested in entrepreneurship some years ago as a result of gaps lacking in-home care of patients who would need private care at home after being discharged from the hospital, and since then I continue to identify gap in the market all the time including the present innovative concept called “miShift App”. miShift App will be the first of its kind mobile scheduling App for shift-workers with an integrated communications platform to resolve the complex shift scheduling issues in hospitals, retails, factories, hospitalities, securities and other businesses that have different shift working systems instantly.

Managers and supervisors no longer need to spend hours on the phone scrambling for replacements. miShift is an open-shift integrated management solution that creates a more flexible staffing environment and improved scheduling control for enhanced efficiencies, reduced costs, and empowered staff. miShift App will offer an interactive worker’s experience creating a synergistic community thereby bringing teams together, keeping everyone informed and builds better company culture. Currently, manually based systems are used to schedule shift workers.

In-built workflows notify employees of available open shifts anytime and anywhere. Employees are able to view, trade, swap, accept and fill-in-shifts 24/7 via smartphone powered by iOS and Android. This App will be the first of its kind mobile scheduling App with an integrated communications platform to resolve the complex shift scheduling issues in hospitals, retails, factories, hospitalities, securities and other businesses that have different shift working systems instantly.

Just one click, all qualified and available staff is notified because this miShift App has a unique feature that reaches all available and qualified staff to fill-in the vacant shifts so a replacement can be selected instantly via miShift App.
