Nahid Hasan BIZCOPE

Nahid Hasan, CEO at Bizcope tells us about data-driven digital marketing solutions.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Nahid Hasan: Thanks, personally I’m okay. Just a bit worried because my Dad came up with Covid-19 positive last week. Consequently, the whole family is in a home quarantine. And despite having zero symptoms, I’ve chosen work from home to secure my office from Covid tension. Fortunately, a well-planned vaccination is going out there in our country. The present picture makes us confident of future herd immunity. I hope it will reduce the infection rate. I can work with complete bandwidth as I usually do.

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded Bizcope.

Nahid Hasan: Well, despite being a pharmacy grad, I found my world on the web. Following the unbound unknown affection, someday I started freelancing and gradually discovered my passion for digital marketing. The small drops of personal gains dared to dive into the ocean. I formed my dream team. The eve of my journey is all about my small team and me. With the dedication of learning newer things and doing things extraordinary, we then began to provide pragmatic solutions to our clientele.

How does Bizcope innovate?

Nahid Hasan: As an SEO plus Digital Marketing Agency, we don’t compromise with a continuous survey. Our study aims to get the market updates like buying behaviour, engagement patterns, etc. Then we do some A/B testing to discover our own formula. That means the unique Bizcope style that helps our clients eat their competitions. We are very much data-driven. We use the best tools and content strategies to win the race.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?

Nahid Hasan: Oh, it does its best! But the good thing is, the more it affects the typical-physical business, the more business will depend on digital solutions. It really happened! We started to earn more after the lockdown chapter. However, we went through a nightmare during the worldwide lockdown. And the economy is like a chain. You cannot and should not live happy, leaving the others in peril.

Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?

Nahid Hasan: No, we didn’t have to say sorry to any of our employees. We tried to face the crisis as a force. In fact, Bizcope literally treats its employees as family members. Bizcope is born to move hand-in-hand. Let me share what we did to tackle the first wave of Covid-19. We kept some of our ‘additional facilities’ due to allocating the basic finance. And we kept the rest amount due to disburse after the crisis. Our primary goal was to financially enable all the staff so that they can survive for long. We are prepared to apply the learning we had in phase one. Already we’ve allowed our employees to work from home. Merely the ones who reside nearby or use private transport are allowed to attend office physically.

How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?

Nahid Hasan: To be honest, Covid-19 couldn’t hinder the as usual customer relationship. Simply because our businesses are digital by nature, but yes, some of our foreign clients got sick and panicked by the outbreak. Their interactions were also affected due to continuous lockdown and shutdown. Some start-up businesses failed to pay us. Some took additional time. We had also compromised, and it rewarded us later. For better internal communication, we do use cliq, Zoho People, Dropbox, Whatsapp, and some other great tools. For external communication, there are Slack, Skype, Zoom, Google Meet, and Whatsapp.

Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?

Nahid Hasan: Actually, we didn’t have to take any govt. Grants. We were solvent enough to face the crisis by our company fund. The govt. offered some loan facilities for the IT companies. But as I said earlier, we didn’t have to rely on that. And this credit goes to the entire Bizcope team.

Your final thoughts?

Nahid Hasan: Covid-19 is not only a crisis but a change-maker too! We just need to cope up with the change and lead our firms thereby. Have a good day!
