National Burger Day filled with discounts from McDonald’s, Pepsi, Red Robin, and others

May 28 is National Burger Day, and most franchises have eliminated the need to grill in your backyard. To celebrate this day, McDonald’s, Wendy’s Pepsi, Red Robin, and more have great deals for burger lovers. Like other made-up food holidays, fast food chains have some special discounts and freebies Friday. These are ongoing offers that either need an app or loyalty program membership.

The following are some of the national burger day deals but remember the offers remain while supplies last. So check with the participating location and have your restaurant’s app ready.

McDonald’s: The restaurant offers several deals to make you happy as you celebrate your National Burger Day. These include free large fries when you download its app, in addition to McDonald’s restaurant ongoing deals such as free medium fries for every $1 purchase.

Burger King: The fast-food chain has limited-time offers on its app and buy-one-get-one for any $1 spent on the Whopper and Impossible Whopper.

Del Taco: Besides Tacos, the company has delicious Double Del Cheeseburger offers. The buy-one-get-one-free offer is only available on its app.

Smashburger: You will get a Double Classic Smash for only $5 at specific locations.

Pepsi: Through its #BetterWithPepsi, fans will get a reimbursement of up to $3.49 for any burger and Pepsi they purchase on National Burger Day. To qualify, a participant has to send a photo holding the two items on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, and then the company with contact them for receipt verification.

Wendy’s: Customers are required to download its app to get a free soft drink with every purchase of Bourbon bacon Cheeseburger. They will also get a buy-one-get-one for $1 spent on Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger.

Papa John’s: Customers will save 25% when they purchase the new Parmesan Crusted Papadia under the promo code PARMCRUSTED. This offer runs through June 1.

Red Robin: Current chain’s loyalty program members will get buy-one-get-one 50% Gourmet Burgers. This offer will run through May 31, and by joining the Red Robin Royalty Program, you are entitled to a free burger on your birthday month in addition to other discounts.

White Castle: Customers who sign up for the free Craver Nation loyalty program in its app will get a free Combo Meal. You can also get your favorite dessert-on-a-stick for free when you show proof of getting the COVID-19 vaccine. This offer will run through May 31.

Other companies with special offers are Wing Zone, Wayback Burgers, Sonic Drive-In Jack in the Box, WaBa Grill, among others.
