We talked to Noel Gomez of Convexa which is a digital assistant and he had the following to say:-

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times? 

Noel Gomez: All well, thanks.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Convexa.

Noel Gomez: I worked at Amgen, a large biopharma company, and saw a need to improve the way information was provided to end-users by leading them to the important things vs. having them hunt for them. So I joined forces with some people I knew who had a software development consultancy, and we created Convexa.

How does your company innovate? 

We are bringing together our pharma and tech experience to create a better experience for pharma sales reps. You can see how our tool works here

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Noel Gomez: It has changed priorities for our potential customers and made it more difficult to sell.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Noel Gomez: We have had to adjust our messaging and take on consulting work while we get traction on our product.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and Convexa in the future?

Noel Gomez: I just put things in perspective, and I’m thankful that we have been able to get work at large organizations and have been asked to do several projects with them, so we are delivering to their liking. I think we will be able to expand our relationship with our existing clients and use that experience to grow into new customers.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Noel Gomez: Aktana is one of our competitors, but they are only tackling part of the problem; their solution is also more generic. I think we are different because we can take all our customer’s data into account, and since we deploy our solution in their network, we can offer a white-glove service that aktana can’t do. We also have experience working at large enterprises, so we know how to get things done in large organizations with many stakeholders.
