Petia Koleva, founder of MySuperSite tells us about web design and marketing services.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Petia Koleva: Fortunately – we’re all in good health. It’s weird times we live in, but we should all stop for a second and thank everyone out there, who is fighting with the virus and helping us, and the rest for keeping our lives as normal as possible.

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded MySuperSite

Petia Koleva: I’m 33, a wife, a mother, and a manager of a web design company. I’ve studied psychology, but I was interested in websites since I was a teenager, back in the late ’90s. I founded MySuper.Site after some years of working as a web designer in other companies. I have professional experience as a web designer for over 7 years now, and over a decade of experience in communicating with clients. This is my dream job, and recently it allowed me to participate in charities, which made me feel also useful to society. I’ve donated a few websites to different causes, some of them benefited a lot from it and I’m beyond happy with the fact.

How does MySuperSite innovate?

Petia Koleva: At MySuper.Site we focus on converting websites, not just pretty ones. Today you have just a few seconds to keep the attention of the user and we must use them in the best way possible. Everything should be really easy to use, placed in the right place, where the user would search for it – and at the same time, it must look neat and tidy, beautiful and modern. When you build a website – you want it to tell everything the user should learn about the business, just the way the best employee would do it – in the most professional and intriguing way possible.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business and how are you coping?

Petia Koleva: I often say that our niche was from the few that are benefited from the pandemic. Everyone everywhere wants to be online now; the service is needed more than ever. A change in the routine of the company was necessary in order to keep up with the high demand. We’re home-office from the very beginning, even before the pandemic – so Zoom calls, messenger apps, etc. is something we’re already used to.

Did you have to make difficult choices and what are the lessons learned?

Petia Koleva: Fortunately, there were no difficult choices to be made in my company. We all had to learn a lesson on two how to be able to answer the high demand of the service, but that is a positive, not a negative impact. I’m so sorry there were so many companies faced to make pretty hard decisions.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Petia Koleva: In my field – definitely the best organization skills are needed. In order to keep all the projects up to date and follow the deadlines when there’s so much work – you need to be able to organize everything to the smallest detail. Team Management Software is a must, having a lot of contact channels with the clients worldwide is also a must. I always want quality over quantity, nowadays it’s both quality and quantity and tools like Meister Task helped us keep our deadlines.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Petia Koleva: I wouldn’t be able to name two or three – they are hundreds. We have built websites for clients from all over the world – and thus web design companies from everywhere are our competitors. I believe giving useful professional advice even in pre-sale conversation with the client builds a relation of trust between us. Following the latest tendencies, giving always the best – as if creating it for yourself helped us keep the rich portfolio and the great customer reviews and I think this will continue helping us stay in the game.

Your final thoughts?

Petia Koleva: The pandemic is a reason for the collapse of a lot of businesses. Luckily, web design is the type of service that benefited from the situation. Yet, this was still a reason to re-structure and re-think the company policies, in order to be able to keep up the good work.
