We talked to Philipp Shayzhanov of Yoloco about its artificial intelligence solutions and here is what he said.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times? 

Philipp Shayzhanov: We are fine and did not get sick.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Yoloco.

Philipp Shayzhanov: I have worked in IT for 10 + years and more than 5 years in Ad Tech. I`m a professional IT Team Leader and Project Manager. We founded Yoloco 2 years ago.

How does Yoloco innovate? 

Philipp Shayzhanov: We are designing several artificial intelligence solutions, such as age and gender prediction, interests classification, polarity detection. We also develop our model that can identify fraud in social networks.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business and how are you coping?

Philipp Shayzhanov: According to our financial results of 2020, we grew 8 times and so our business was very successful during the pandemic year. We link it to increased advertising budgets spent on influencer marketing after everyone went online.

Did you have to make difficult choices and what are the lessons learned?

Philipp Shayzhanov: Of course we have a primary concern – to continue despite the crisis and uncertainty. However, we have to run without looking back.

What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?

Philipp Shayzhanov: We generally use the AGILE approach. Our LEAN oriented processes help us to navigate this crisis. it was easy to adapt because our team had been working online even before the pandemic began.

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Philipp Shayzhanov: Our main competitors are HypaAuditor and SocialData. However, we different because we design ML models, focus on artificial intelligence, and provide quick solutions.
