Converting Waste to Upcycled Products
We talked to Pramod Kumar of ECOSUSTAIN FASHIONS about sustainable fashion destination and here is what she said about it.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Pramod Kumar: I am doing good. Initial days were bad during the lockdown, forcing us just to wait and watch.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded ECOSUSTAIN FASHIONS.
Pramod Kumar: My Career has been in the Fashion Industry. For more than 20 years, I worked with many organizations in India and globally, such as manufacturing companies and sourcing companies.
Later I started my own sourcing company catering for the European Market. In 2015, I had a vision towards sustainability, researched and traveled across the globe, and finally formed ECO SUSTAIN FASHIONS in 2019.
How does ECOSUSTAIN FASHIONS innovate?
Pramod Kumar: We, as an innovative company, look for various supply chain processes involved in sustainability, and there are no limits.
How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?
Pramod Kumar: It did affect the initial phase with clients not being in the office to take the goods, approval delays, etc., and hence has affected our finances.
Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?
Pramod Kumar: I have very loyal employees and have paid during the pandemic too, and we treat each employee as a member of the family.
There are some occasions where some employees take it for granted and have learnt lessons.
How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?
Pramod Kumar: We have excellent customer relationship management as each and every issue highlighted by the client, I ensure that it is addressed, root cause identified, and resolved.
One-to-one video conference at every stage is enabled.
Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?
Pramod Kumar: No benefits have been received from the government yet.
Your final thoughts?
Pramod Kumar: Do your best, and the world will look back at you.
