Rashedul Mazid RITS BROWSER

Rashedul Mazid, founder of RITS Browser tells us about smart mobile browsers in the android market.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Rashedul Mazid: Thanks for asking the question. We are doing good now, though the beginning was tough.

Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded RITS Browser

Rashedul Mazid: I started my career in 2005 as a software engineer in a well-reputed company. I have served that company for three years then moved to another company as a CTO. From the beginning of my career, I had an entrepreneurial attitude, and I was always looking for something to start my own. After one year, I started my own business, Raise IT Solutions Ltd. Later, we incorporated our business in 2013. We have introduced many projects under this company. One of the most successful startup projects was RITS ADS, we have introduced the first Bangladeshi programmatic advertising solutions. And another important startup project is RITS Browser, the first smart browser in the android market. And I am the CEO of that project now.

How does RITS Browser innovate?

Rashedul Mazid: You know every problem creates opportunities. We innovate first when we face the obstacle in our main business journey. Our main business was helping other IT businesses around the globe as an offshore company for them. But when we faced the recession in 2011-2012, we had to innovate something to maintain our cash flow so that we never had to depend on other companies for our sustainability. Then we have introduced RITS Ads in the market, and that project was very successful. After that success, we formed an R&D department for doing independent research on business development. This department now helps us to innovate new solutions and introduces new projects in the market.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?

Rashedul Mazid: This pandemic affected us badly in our cash flow as the overall market had shrunk its budget. Now things are improving slowly.

Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources, and what are the lessons learned?

Rashedul Mazid: Yes, we had to start home office then, and we had to reduce some office assistant resources. It was not easy, but we had to do it for our survival. My biggest lesson in this pandemic is, “ You must keep a good relationship with your banks and take loans when you are doing good in business and build a good credit history so that you can utilize it when you need financial help from them.”

How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?

Rashedul Mazid: This pandemic reduces the requirement of physical meetings, zoom, skype, and google meet helps us manage the relationship between customers and us. It has become more habitual for everyone now.

Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?

Rashedul Mazid: We never applied for any GOVT grant as we never need any. We always try to manage our financial crisis with our own funds, but in this pandemic, we go for bank loans and get it for the 1st time, which helps us to keep our business afloat.

Your final thoughts?

Rashedul Mazid: This pandemic creates lots of opportunities for IT companies around the world. People spend more time online than ever before, and consumers are more concerned about data privacy nowadays. And thus, we have introduced the RITS Browser, which is a private browser app with reward benefits, which means it will protect your data as well as it will give you reward benefits for your internet time. Not only that, but you can also enjoy ad-free videos on YouTube using this browser that will save you money too. And our app size is only 17MB.  You can download it from this link and get 50 free points.
