First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Sam McDadi: I’m doing fine, thanks. We are all adjusting to our new normal while trying to stay safe.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Sam McDadi Real Estate.
Sam McDadi: I’ve been selling real estate for 30 years and founded my own brokerage in 2012.
How does Sam McDadi Real Estate innovate?
Sam McDadi: We are constantly looking for ways to offer more value to our customers while changing with the times.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Sam McDadi: The pandemic has affected our business in several ways. As our business is all about client interaction, we have been forced to make changes. When showing homes, we need to observe COVID protocols. Open houses have been cancelled, and client meetings are done either by zoom or in a socially distanced manner with parties wearing masks.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Sam McDadi: Our brokerage operates as a large team. In normal times we often get together socially and have team meetings that include 40-50 team members at our office. Since the pandemic, we have had to shift to online meetings, and any team events are done on a smaller scale and outdoors.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety?
Sam McDadi: I live a very active and healthy lifestyle. Working out and self-care is paramount in managing stress for me.
