First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID19 times?
Sandeep Singh: Talking about the COVID19 or lockdown time, I think this proved to be a great and somewhere a tough time also for me. We are more conscious than ever for our health and absolutely we have got more time to spend with our family which is truly great. Now, as being a responsive and conscious human, we are contributing to the world in order to get out of this havoc in every way possible for us.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded or joined Pagalparrot Media
Sandeep Singh: During the days of graduation in electronics and communication, i started taking interest in internet as it was rapidly growing in India with millions of people getting access to internet at cheaper rates. I founded Pagalparrot to meet the demand of young generation for quality content with a great mix of news. Pagalparrot was launched in 2015 and we have successfully completed 5 years. we now have a userbase of 3 million plus people per month. Recently we launched our app to give easy access to users.
How does Pagalparrot Media innovate?
Sandeep Singh: We really starve to provide sharp edge entertainment news , quality curated stories and lifestyle blogs to our audience and family who have faith in us. Our first motive is to bring awareness and understanding about social causes in this world in order to maintain positivity and trust which is our main motive.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business and how are you coping?
Sandeep Singh: Coronavirus is really a big problem for everyone, but we believe that the light comes after darkness, so we are keeping up the spirits high during the pandemic, we still continue to work and haven’t stopped ourselves. Since employees are the backbone of the company, we are currently providing work from home form our entire team. So that the business can run smoothly. Although we miss our working space social distancing is also the need of the hour.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety, how do you project yourself and Pagalparrot Media in the future?
Sandeep Singh: The way we deal with stress and anxiety depends from person to person, but the most common way to deal with it is to stay positive and avoid the things that make you depressed. If we don’t deal with the bad times in a good way, we will be the victims of stress and Anxiety. So I just focus on the present and accept the things the way they are. We should always remember one thing, whether its a good time or bad time it has to pass. As far as projecting the company is concerned I will give my best and focus on the things that are important.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Sandeep Singh: If we talk about the competition, I always believe in standing out loud. Always think that there is no competition. There is a reason behind this, I think that if I am genuine and doing my best then they will surely know. All it takes is just an effort that I need to make. A change is always a good priority than negative ambition. My plan to stay in the game is to do something extra, just don’t follow the rules made by this world or you’ll be ignored. There are already so many businesses and people who want to be on top. Just keep yourself a step ahead and keep your goals in your mind that’s all I need to stay in this competition.
Your final thoughts
Sandeep Singh: I just think that everyone is racing to achieve the first position this time, they just see the way which is shown to them like a runway. Nobody knows which direction they have to move in. All we need to remember is that our biggest competition is with ourselves. Just keep your goals in mind and keep moving. There is a lot of resistance and we need to get over it with our own power. Working hard and playing hard is the key.
