Tell us about you, your Career, how you Founded or Joined Flickstree
Saurabh Singh: My name is Saurabh Singh. After my post-graduation in management, I did a corporate role for 12 years in a large Multi-National Corporation called Asian Paints Ltd. Problem-solving, marketing, content, and media always excited me. So I spotted a huge problem for digital publishers (websites and apps) to drive traffic to their platform and monetize better.
All consumer-focused websites and apps need better content to engage their users and monetize better. At Flickstree, we enable our partner apps and websites to make money with our videos.
How does Flickstree Innovate?
Saurabh Singh: We are a data-driven company. We spot problems and opportunities and create hypothesis around some solutions. We then run multiple experiments around our solutions and scale the ones that drive results.
We are flexible, agile and ready to experiment with multiple solutions for the problem at hand. Some of our solutions are those that have never been tried before by anyone. We put clear milestones as to what would look like a success. If our experiments succeed based on data, innovation is born!
How the Coronavirus Pandemic affects your Business and how are you Coping?
Saurabh Singh: A few parts of our business worked very well during the pandemic. We shifted focus in scaling those parts – for example, education and online courses were doing better than other partnerships of Flickstree.
Did you have to make Difficult Choices and what are the Lessons Learned?
Saurabh Singh: While results for some parts of our business could have been better, the overall business kept growing even during the pandemic. The lessons are simple – be flexible, be agile and focus on the process.
How do you deal with Stress and Anxiety? How do you Project yourself and Flickstree in the Future?
Saurabh Singh: Stillness inside, amidst the chaos outside helps. Meditation and exercise keep the mind and body fresh. Knowing that what we’re solving is a huge pain point and that our publisher partners massively accept our solution, is very comforting.
Our vision is clear – Flickstree would be the world’s largest video platform for publishers globally.
Who are your Competitors? And how do you plan to Stay in the Game?
Saurabh Singh: We focus on being better than ourselves. We focus on how our publisher partners can benefit from our association. We focus on how we can continuously innovate and stay ahead in the game. A great way to excel is to keep things simple, create and deliver what our customers want.
