Sneha Sharma TUBBR

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Sneha Sharma: I am great, adjusting to this new normal.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded TUBBR.

Sneha Sharma: I’m Founding Partner & Community Lead at TUBBR.

I started my first job at the age of 18, writing for startups & brands at 22, and became a Founding Partner at a tech-startup when I turned 24.

A city dweller who loves to travel, click photographs, and learn new languages along the way (already fluent in 5). I have experience working in turnaround situations in entrepreneurial environments. I help startups & brands solve problems.

Before joining TUBBR as a Founding Partner, I worked at Times Internet Ltd, India, where I met Saurabh Uttam, Co-Founder at TUBBR, who introduced me to TUBBR App and how it could change the way people connect, collaborate, and discover the right content!

Currently, I spearhead marketing, build communities, and create growth hacking strategies at TUBBR App – World’s First Personal Social Network. I helped build a “go to market” strategy for TUBBR; that made user acquisition 5x faster.

I managed to onboard the first 1K users without a dime! Now we have 200K+ users who have created 2 M stories in just the last 6 months! I also have built a community of 20,000 global Influencers on the app!

How does TUBBR innovate?

Sneha Sharma: TUBBR is an Invite-Only Personal Social Network to connect, share, chat, collaborate, and even live-stream with people of your choice through public/private spaces we call TUBBR WALLS.

We are planning to launch TUBBR Beta in 3 Months. The beta will include TUBBR PRO, that will Let people earn money & have substantial income through TUBBR Premium Walls & Paid Live-Streaming Sessions. It is a way for creators, digital nomads, celebrities, insiders, domain experts, coaches, and millions of people looking to have substantial & reliable online income.

TUBBR Inc. is headquartered in Frisco, TX, and co-founded by Saurabh Uttam, ex Times Internet Growth & Social Media Lead, and Ravi Singhal, the Technical Lead. They both have managed to build a 12 member team together, including John Lee, the Server Architect and a Patent Holder in Graph QL, and myself as the founding members.

How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?

Sneha Sharma: People are moving away from mainstream social networks towards chat-based solutions to have more intimate conversations & personal sharing with friends, family, or groups discreetly. In fact, the current crisis clearly indicates that in the future, not only entertainment but also most of our social interactions are going to be online.

TUBBR, through multiple timelines, eases the sharing of personal content with the relevant audiences solving the age-old problem of ‘context collapse’ on mainstream platforms.

Hence we have seen a surge in downloads, in-app engagements, and content posted in the last few months!

Also, we at TUBBR are excited to announce that we have successfully raised fresh capital from Global Ascent Partners, International Growth Consulting & VC fund even in these strange times. The funds will be used to support the mega launch of TUBBR PRO Beta in January 2021.

Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?

Sneha Sharma: I left my cushy corporate life to join a startup in order to have more ownership, be part of the company’s growth, and watch it succeed over time!

It does come with its fair set of hardships. Limitations of your resources being one of them. For instance, when I first joined TUBBR, all of the marketing activities, be it online or offline, had to be handled by a two-person team, whereas, in my previous job, we would have had four different people handling each of those areas.

A startup will provide you with more opportunities for taking ownership of something and making it your own!

How do you deal with stress and anxiety? How do you project yourself and TUBBR in the future?

Sneha Sharma: Working in a startup can become hectic at times, but I never forget to have “ME” time at least once a week. I love painting, and that’s what I end up doing during this time. The point is to take some time out to relax and do anything that makes you happy!

To answer the second part of your question, we are continuously evolving TUBBR to make it Fun, add Relevance, bring the element of Discovery and enable the Next Billion Internet users to Monetize their work via TUBBR Premium Walls!

Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?

Sneha Sharma: Community-driven networks like Amino, a growing app in Korea, is designed in a way that will feel familiar to Reddit & Discord. These networks let users focus on their specific interests, which makes them a great place for users who just want to socialize with like-minded folks from around the world.

Subscription-based apps such as Patreon and onlyfans.com are helping influencers, experts in selling their content to their loyal fans & followers at a monthly/weekly fee so that they can continue their good work!

While each of the above mentioned does cater to a specific need, no app provides a solution that comprises all of the above.

But, no app lets users create multiple spaces to share stories, chat, collaborate, live cast to a specific audience without worrying about privacy and even monetize their exclusive content. People need a Slack-like app for daily life. That’s where TUBBR comes in.

Though we are trying to evolve the product with every new release, the key is to continuously define how to stay as unique as possible!

Your final thoughts?

Sneha Sharma: An advice to all budding entrepreneurs, I know surviving in these adverse times is quite hard. But, even though times are tough, so are you! Keep working hard and never be afraid to ask for help!

Launching a social network app is surely challenging but equally exciting to work on. I would love to have you try it out, give any kind of support, feedback, and help make it a global success!
