Stephane Guillemin OWORKERS

Stephane Guillemin, Head of business development at Oworkers tells us about remote data entry solutions.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?

Stephane Guillemin: Perfectly ok and no one got involved. We were lucky and also we took all of this very seriously (mask all the time, etc).

Tell us about you, your career, and how you joined Oworkers.

Stephane Guillemin: With 20 years in the BPO industry, I have worked in 7 different countries (Asia, Africa, East Europe, Europe ) with different cultures and challenges. I joined oworkers in 2013.

How does Oworkers innovate?

Stephane Guillemin: Instead of many BPOs who are like “jack of all trades” (and master of none) We are focusing 100 %, a pure player on Multilingual Data processing & data annotation (in more than 30 languages) with very specific locations (Bulgaria, Egypt, and Madagascar, soon to include the Philippines) allowing us to serve high-quality data processing with a very affordable rate and very flexible teams. All our processes are focused on quality assurance/flexibility for data processing and data annotation

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?

Stephane Guillemin: We had been hit very slightly, we even received more projects, 100 % of our workers working from home now, we had to relocate them from our delivery centers to home-based work.

Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resources and what are the lessons learned?

Stephane Guillemin: Always be prepared to work from home in 24 hours, Always have highly developed processes for remote hiring, forget face-to-face interviews (Online tests, online screening, etc).

How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient?

Stephane Guillemin: We were using already SLACK / Google hangout / Microsoft teams with all our teams and clients.

Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?

Stephane Guillemin: No.

Your final thoughts?

Stephane Guillemin: This period is terrific for many businesses and we have to learn about how to be prepared for a crisis like this which will be, in my opinion, not the last one.
