We talked to Sudeep Bhatnagar of Agicent App Company on how to create amazing cross-platform apps and powerful web applications using latest technologies and this is what he had to say.

First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times? 

Sudeep Bhatnagar: Doing well, thanks for asking and wishing well for you too.

Tell us about you, your career, how you founded Agicent App Company.

Sudeep Bhatnagar: Co-founded Agicent App Company 11 years back along with my Partner Surendra. The vision was (and has always been) to create and run a company. To offer the same quality of software development services (App development services, web development services) to startup/ growing companies in the USA and Europe that fortune 500 companies get from their vendors for a large fee.

How does Agicent App Company innovate? 

Sudeep Bhatnagar: We believe in collective thinking. We figure out gaps in our market and then try to fill those up with small applications and technology products and see results and repeat.

How does the coronavirus pandemic affect your business finances?

Sudeep Bhatnagar: It has been smooth sailing during the pandemic.

Did you have to make difficult choices regarding human resource, and what are the lessons learned?

Sudeep Bhatnagar: Yes, we do. The lessons learned are several, but some major ones are – 

Never generalize the job profiles. Hire accurate skilled people for skill-oriented jobs. Not every employee can diversify their skills, so instead of relying on some people to do several things, rely on specific people doing specific skills. It is not a politically correct statement, but it is true as per the first-hand experience. If you find a star employee in the process, then, of course, utilize their skills and talent, but don’t rely on someone’s diversification capabilities.

Work hard on making your workplace where experienced personnel would love to work, what you do and offer does much more magic than what you say or claim.

How did your customer relationship management evolve? Do you use any specific tools to be efficient? 

Sudeep Bhatnagar: We use Jira, Trello, and some in-house CRM tools to ensure smooth functioning. In our industry (Software development), integration and deployment tools are essential players too.

Did you benefit from any government grants, and did that help keep your business afloat?

Sudeep Bhatnagar: No grants.

Sudeep Bhatnagar: Nothing happens on its own, make a plan, and don’t let your energy leaking on things you can’t control or handle.
