First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Taha Kamal: Things were a little on edge, but we’re doing great! Almost everyone has been hit with some major backlashes during these trying times, but the family and I made it a goal to add a little bit of positivity in everything we do. Of course, each day is a struggle, but things are manageable, and we have a great support system that makes things a whole lot easier!
Tell us about you, your career, how you joined Top VPN Service.
Taha Kamal: I have a very versatile list of interests or hobbies. You could say they’re almost balanced, as my motto is always “Balance isn’t something you achieve someday.” – To add to it, you need to work towards it, try new things. However, being 4 years into the digital marketing field, my main interest has always endeared me towards technology and digital outreach. That’s when I crossed paths with Top VPN Service.
The company’s mission is all about educating the masses on cybercrimes and prevention methods, introducing them to cybersecurity tools for online protection and creating how-to guides for users across all borders. This is mainly why I joined the company, alongside my colleagues Jade Nazareth and Jawwad Iqbal, working towards one goal.
How does Top VPN Service innovate?
Taha Kamal: It’s true, there are many cybersecurity websites and companies out there, but there’s one thing that sets us apart from the rest – “we innovate”. We run an affiliate website that caters towards cybersecurity software. However, that’s not all we do! Our main focus is on testing and creating honest reviews on every reliable VPN app. We create cybercrime prevention guides, cyber-information and awareness guides, and how-to tutorials, which digs deep into the crux of the matter.
How did the coronavirus pandemic affect your business, and how are you coping?
Taha Kamal: As I mentioned above, maintaining a balance takes time and patience. However, the Pandemic really brought on all the challenges imaginable, both for business and home life, as did it for everyone else around the world. My business revolves around technology entirely. Sending all the staff to work from home took a new turn for the company.
Everyone had to work twice as hard to get the business going since not all the staff had everything available in their homes compared to the advanced systems we have at the office. Homelife had to be mingled with work, but it gave my colleagues and me a sense of time management and patience.
The business, however, is doing great!
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Taha Kamal: The company doesn’t only revolve around employees that are more technically-able, but on those that bring creativity to the table. I feel that sending our creative writer and management teams to work from home was a drawback.
Innovativeness, in my opinion, needs room to breathe and grow and working from home only brought on more challenges for them. Secondly, our line of work requires constant contact. Zoom meetings just don’t cut it.
How do you deal with stress and anxiety?
Taha Kamal: My team is pretty cooperative and easy-going, so the regular talks about things other than work-life is a real stress reliever. Other than that, I find a regular walk quite relaxing. It gives me a chance to reevaluate my purpose in life and at work, what my motives are, creating a new target of achievements each day. Little anxiety influxes aren’t an issue; it’s not great, but nothing that can’t be managed.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Taha Kamal: As a whole, everyone’s a competitor, but as mentioned above, not every company is the same. However, our top competitors are VPNmentor, PixelPrivacy, ProPrivacy, VPNranks and a couple of others.
How do we plan to excel? Well, by doing what we do best! Create new and innovative ways to promote value among our viewers and pan out effective ways to promote cybersecurity measures and software that are reliable.
Your final thoughts?
Taha Kamal: We value our viewer’s thoughts more!
