Tim Polomannyy, founder of VINT Consult tells us about consulting and accounting business solutions.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Tim Polomannyy: I have a big family. We try to protect each other and help each other to be in high spirits during the Corona era. Unfortunately, I and my wife have had the coronavirus, but we survived it well enough.
Tell us about you, your career, and how you founded VINT Consult.
Tim Polomannyy: I join VINT Consult in 2015 as a Project Manager. Previously I worked in the real estate sphere. During 2015-2017 I worked as a Project Manager and Management Consultant with very interesting projects including startups and high-tech companies. In 2017 I became a Co-Owner of VINT Consult.
How does VINT Consult innovate?
Tim Polomannyy: Innovations and creativity are key for our company. We deliver innovations to our customers, so we must be innovative too. The two main technical practices of our company are Blockchain and DevOps. We help enterprises to introduce digital transformation with customized solutions tailored according to the company’s philosophy.
The main goal of any innovation is to improve speed and comfort. Our team is involved in each step of the change management process in our own company. It is everyday work, because real innovation doesn’t mean only digitization, but data expansion, process improvement, deepening knowledge, and flexibility training.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business and how are you coping?
Tim Polomannyy: I can say with confidence that we were ready to work remotely. Building a remote work system is one of our company’s consulting practices. We have long said that the world will move to a remote work system, predicted the digitalization of all monotonous work, the transition of the entire business to the Internet. This happened earlier than we predicted, which made us work harder.
Did you have to make difficult choices and what are the lessons learned?
Tim Polomannyy: Of course, in the first wave of coronavirus, we felt some weakening in demand. This made us more clearly separate the important things in business from the non-essential tasks, make decisions faster. We received a certain antifragility and we are sure this has already begun to help us.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
Tim Polomannyy: We’ve put together a team of truly adaptive consultants. We strive to apply standards that are familiar and useful to our clients. The main management tools of our company are decentralization, synergy, and creativity.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Tim Polomannyy: We are a boutique consultancy with a dedicated team. I think we have many competitors, but everyone has their own approach. So, each customer is looking for a consultant who will be relevant to his style and philosophy.
I think it’s very important to have the flexibility and constantly expand our expertise. Our company has the opportunity to gather teams of consultants from different countries and different fields due to our extensive international partners’ network. It helps our clients receive business solutions in almost any area of business from a team created specifically for their project.
Your final thoughts?
Tim Polomannyy: On the one hand, COVID is a terrible disaster that killed many people and ruined many people’s health. On the other hand, I am sure that everyone has revised their system of life and commercial values. And this is also very important.
